"51% Scouts" are welcome ... no need to measure ... we operate on an Honor System :-) This restriction helps to keep our community statistics clean. Let me know if I can clarify anything else. o7 - Shotty GoBang
Thanks man, appreciate the reply. So its just total kills, as long as your a 51% or more scout? I see. I'm not sure what I qualify as. I wonder if CCP has stats for suit classes used. |

It's an honor system. So long as you consider yourself a scout (you run it as a majority), chances are you will get on the list. |

Okay, Had an excellent run in FW tonight, good times. But the most incredible blueberry moment happened. Was stalking two mediums who had hacked an objective. Just as one was approaching my RE, I see a red dot on my passive right behind me. Before i can react i hear the bullet whistle past my head, and red berry disappears. Some Dot was watching my back, shot over my head and dropped the threat, without communication. Result I lived, Reds died, and I retook the objective. Sadly I missed the snipers name in the kill feed as I had some people to explode. Faceless Blueberry Sniper I salut you o7

I'd assumed a sidearm scout was a scout that ran two sidearms, not one?
anyway, I like the Turret Creepers one, but because I think of dual sidearms as a point defence specialisation, maybe "Installation Creepers" is more appropriate? Doesn't have the same ring to it though....hmmm.

On a side note, looking forward to playing 1.5 tonight when I get home from work (in about three hours). Hoping to squad up with some of you guys, it's about time I did. Scared I'll be **** though ;-) |

I only got to play a couple matches but one was a serious red line stomp so I switched to sniper. Couldn't seem to pick people up quite as quick. I'm down with that change. Makes me less seen |

Did my scanning dampening calculations and I have 27 dB, that should be enough right to avoid the proto scan except the 18 dB one right? Feels a little easy that I managed to already be undetected by a proto active unless it's the 18 dB one since I'm still running an advance suit. |

they still pop up at long distances but they have to be in the center of your crosshairs or ADS I also notice the chevron can fade and get brighter depending on where your aiming

I think the Meta 9 is 15 dB ... no point worrying about that one. A level 5 Scout can beat 28 dB with a basic dampener and 2-3 points in dampening. |

I just was in a squad with a collection of first rate scouts. It was humbling.
In solo play I average around 1400 WP... mostly from a very aggressive installation hacking habit, dropping uplinks like a fiend and whipping out a swarm scout whenever I see a tank or two. I act as an autonomous unit in my squad, which typically consists of myself and two friends who run logistics fits.
I rounded out the last battle with approximately 400 war points. Not because I sucked too terribly, though it was by no means my best play of all time, but because most things were killed, hacked or controlled efficiently and quickly and were defended well enough to keep them from being brought back to red. I was out-scouted.
I hope one day to pull 23/0 or similarly outstanding matches as effortlessly as Shotty makes it seem. For now I will be content to go 12/6 and call it a good match.
Maybe next time I squad with a dedicated scout group I will have a properly functioning mic and won't be at my girlfriend's place... having to hand over the controller before you're done is no fun. At least I can backseat hack while my girlfriend plays on her account.
Thanks for the rounds, scouts! |

Playing with other scouts is a blast, and it really helps you see how important certain aspects of scouting are.
Playing with Shotty made me realize that learning how to cook nades is paramount when playing as a scout. They are excellent ways to start an engagement with an enemy, as it will either kill them outright, or horridly wound them. It's really the only way to engage an opponent that knows you are there. Run around a corner, get some distance, cook the nade, then jump out and toss it at their feet.
Playing with Lightning vXv showed me how to run a shotgun. You gotta know when it is okay to rush em, and when you should run away or flank. He knows when he can rush the target, which is why you see those huge killfeeds with him. He will see three people, and only one will see him. He sprints up and takes out the target that is aware of him, and then gets the other 2 afterwards.
The list goes on and on. |

This has been brought up in the feedback/request threads before by Bojo, myself and others. Seems to be either extremely backburnnered or just not even on the radar of the Dev teams. This is something that really should be implemented. |

Tried to create a Tough, Fast MK.0 suit.
Here is what I have. You can just BARELY make it work with everything maxed :P
Stats: eHP: 447 294 shields 153 Armor Sprints @ 9.26
2x Complex Shield 1x Basic
Ishukone Knives Six Kin Sub (or a Cala's MK-33 if you feel lucky) M1 Locus
1x Complex Reactive 1x Complex Kincat
1x Compact Hive
Seems perfect for a hit and run kit. Sprint in, get some kills, feel free to take some armor damage, you have both armor rep and a bit to spare. Pop a compact when you need to, get some armor back, and some ammo. You can still sprint for about 21 seconds straight too. Retreat for logi hugs when you need to. Looks vicious :-) Are you sold on that complex reactive plate? Thinking you could trade that pinch of HP for a 400% faster patch up (w/complex repper) My two faves are Mko 2xcomplex shields K5special Ish knives R/E adv precision mod Basic reactive Enh kincat M1
Adv gallente Two shields K5 Toxin pro4 M1 Enh arm rep Enh shield reg Quantum scanner Both do very well |
