Participation Guidelines

The Scout Registry is designed to monitor the health of Uprising's standing Scout Community. Players meeting the following criteria may register via thread response:

Use a Scout/Light dropsuit the majority of time in combat.
Have 500+ kills.
Agree to be honest (vehicle operators who happen to wear a Scout Suit do not qualify).
Agree to announce your departure should you later opt-out of the Scout Suit.

It has amazing damage over range, and easily annihilates targets with it's high DMG. In reality, use what shotty said. With hit detection the way it is now, you will need multiple shots to kill targets, and the 2 rounds the Breach has isn't enough.

Dark days for you scouts, if any class should be screaming for a respec happens to be in these threads, on that front page. Yet a class loses 20 CPU, tears. We lose (please correct me) but a quarter of our speed? We shrug it off and keep on rolling. We get OHK by grass, wind, and we shrug it off. Lose of CQB hit detection. Shotguns seem to me to be 3 shots THEN....it registers. You guys make me proud to be "hard mode" ( when I'm not in an armor tanked Gal or lolShieldtank)

Knifer to even the dreaded Flay scout. Sniper scout is still a scout, but not nearly as risk as the ground guys are. I wanna see the return of the Murder Taxi scout. Even the 'timewarp' high speed guys are not impossible - a bit of distance to get a modest estimation of their speed, aim a bit ahead, wait and let it off 'pop' 50 points. Really its 99% 'guestimation' and probably shouldn't work but does. My personal feeling is that the suspected 'hitbox expansion' on running is very likely more than fable. I really hope this is an accident - if we are just as easy as mediums to hit at speed, then just wtf is the point of the Scout Suit, bar a miniscule advantage to visibility in scan. Getting away from other players in CQC is a nightmare now, though i'm sure most here have experienced that. Some incredibly fun moments as Shotgun Scout aside, our life is cheap and never easy. I've been taking a strong liking to the Assault Scrambler rifle on a Medium suit, but not using it more than maybe 2 in 8 fights so far. Its great to have a break now and then and 'kick back' playing like everyone else.

I actually prefer it over the Proto variants, as its time between scans (cycle time) seems substantially lower than the Proto models. The Advanced Scanners will pick up any medium or heavy, which covers 98% of the Dust playerbase .

We'll know in a couple weeks. - Shotty GoBang If this helps any, vehicle scanners dont show up on the users radar and people around me have mentioned a lack of REDS popping up when activated. Side note I am not departed as a scout but trying a different roll. Vehicle remote repairing. While I am a scout, GAL assault, and a tanker ( I do use the scout more), I will be focusing less on kill as basically, being a giant underpaid repper. So yeah, being tri-specced. i hope this doesnt kick me from this board but if so, i will stay active here. I'll be hard mode like the rest of yah.

We do know that the Devs took note of the Scout Community's declining performance. Anyhow, I'm glad you brought this up, PseudoSnipre. When 1.3 is released, I intend to reset our performance statistics so we can see right away if the new build helps or hurts us. I'm slightly butthurt that Scouts didn't get a Hotfix in 1.2. I'll be supremely butthurt if we get boned again in 1.3. Side note I am not departed as a scout but trying a different roll. Vehicle remote repairing. While I am a scout, GAL assault, and a tanker ( I do use the scout more), I will be focusing less on kill as basically, being a giant underpaid repper. So yeah, being tri-specced. i hope this doesnt kick me from this board but if so, i will stay active here. I'll be hard mode like the rest of yah. I have a friend that runs Rep tool on a scout. He runs from person to person repping super fast, and then getting out of harms way. It would be cool if we had a light suit with two equipment slots (hinted at for the minmatar). This would give us loads of possibilites. I could have DL's and Scanners (scout the area, and set up a secure drop link), or Injector and Rep tool (run through the battle and save soldiers in time, plus to rep them quickly and get out). What I really want (suit wise) is an extra low slot for Minne Proto. What do I want? (ARMOR REP) When do I want it? (As fast as CCP can possibly do it which is not a very good chance of it happening anytime soon but I will still wait for it! takes a breath)

Scouts are handicapped in combat, especially in PC combat. If CCP wants us to push us toward a support role, then all Scouts need two equipment slots (and additional PG/CPU). Otherwise, Scouts are better off rushing objectives, dropping ULs, then backing out of every match. Edit: If we get pushed into a support role, you can bet on sweet baby geesus I'll take my gungame to another game.
