I ve Used to have a hard time shotgunning until today! I averaged between 15-24 kill s almost every match by doing the reverse of what I've always done. I always used to try an speed tank it, I put 2 complex plates on it and my shields an it's crazy, my proto minja can tank about 660 total HP an my advanced gallente can tank almost the same but it has over 400 armor!
I find that the slower movement is easier to target yet different than changing the sensitivity. I can track easier an run out someone's clip with enough armor left to take one another right away before needing reps from my compact nano hive , it left me confident enough to take on 2:3 mercs an win, rep and repeat. Armor totally beats shields any day , which is why I'm totally going gallente after I finish all my armor to five since I only went up all the way with the minja shields.
I totally wish I stuck with gallente long ago in the beginning of uprising, but everything I need is almost at five so I can't wait to get this suit. |

Minmatar is kind of the worst race to be. Throughout the Universe the race's theme is low HP, high base speed, low CPU/PG Gallente is always the best when it comes to a Speed vs HP balance.
Take those high slots and use damage mods and run an AR. Flank them from a distance. Let the Gallente charge in and blast them away.
Your nova knife bonus is a gimmick and not suited for he Suit's attributes at all. |

If we dont get an additional low slot I think we should definitely get a slightly higher movement speed and a higher sprint speed.
Agree on using damage mods. Hopefully Combat Rifle (whenever it comes) will work out to scare AR users.
I assume CCP wanted us (Min Scouts) to use Precision mod or Melee mod in the 3rd High slot but just dont see them being worth it. |

Precision mods are stupid not worth it since we have poo base scanning range. And melee mods are equally worthless considering we have the lowest base melee. Being a minmatar in EVE is actually pretty good, we have the better PVP ships or so I heard. In Dust though, the minmatar scout is pretty bad. It's racial bonuses are just gimmicks. And it suffers more from not having that extra slot than the gallente.

yesterday, I was getting repeated wiped, attempting to defend a CRU from some AR medium bozo, using my usual stuff. So I ended up switching to MD. For that specific situation (where stealth was just not an option, and he was a fast litle SOB...) That worked mUUUCH betterz. Even with just the initial MD. Got him 3/0. He shed much tears, and decided to grudge hunt me for the rest of the game I think he only got me when I ran out of ammo. sigh.
(Had to switch to my Covenant C1 for the fit, though. Shhhh.. it'll be our secret)

I was thinking and thought what would the racial bonus be for the Caldari and Amarr. So all scout suits get 5% reduction to scan profile per level
Gallente bonus is +10% to scan radius per level Minmatar bonus is +5% to melee and nova knife damage per level
Base on that Caldari bonus would be +10% scan precision per level Amarr bonus would be +5% to scrambler pistol damage per level
So what do you guys think. |

The board shows that on average, your KD/R will increase as your SP/Kills increase.
Just give it time. When you can Proto Stomp on a regular basis, your KD/R tends to go up |

I hope the Cal Scout gets a better bonus than that. With a 10m passive scan range and range extenders being low slot modules, that bonus would be next to useless. However, if, as Oswald Rehnquist suggested, E-War equipment effectiveness was based on scan precision, then yes, that bonus would be excellent and befitting the Cal Scout.
Edit: And the Amarr scout getting a 25% bonus to SP damage at lvl 5 might be a bit too much. |
