there was some confusion as to which skill tree applied the dampening bonus.
Dev has confirmed for us that there is no benefit to skilling Light Suits beyond level III.
Go straight into your preferred racial Scout Suit as early as possible.

Thanks for checking in, brother. o7 Well i am using scout only in the start of a match OR when the game becomes too close quarter (nothing beats Ishi SMG XD). But then again this doesnt happen too often and i've been using the Laser rifle a lot with amarr assault. So i guess its only fair if you take me out of the list since honestly i've been using my assault more than my scout (say 65-35%). I will nevertheless keep fighting for scout rights and as soon as cloaking or an amarr scout (Or anything that makes scouts usable as an offensive force) come out i will probably come back 100% scout. Its a shame,but as big as maps are now and with the new ''hit detection'' / aim assist im not really enjoying my scout suit as before. Plus active scanners are a freakn nightmare TBQH...

Drop the speed and drop the shields! Yup I said it! Minjas need armor regen! I use a advanced fit an I use a basic reactive plate, so speed movement penalty do I run 8.36, an a basic pd which gets me under 28 db. In the front I use a enhanced precision mod an a enhanced sidearm damage mod. Toxin sub, proto or adv knives Quantum ad scanner. Sometimes I use shields but for some reason with my profile low an my precision mod an a dam mod on a proficiency 3 smg it hits like a ishikone smg, an my knives drop heavies with ohk with or without the dam mod but I hardly charge an kill most suits as long as I hit with both blades. I still think its a low slot game so the gallente seems dope now, but I don't wanna lose the 25% knive damage bonus if I skill the gko, outside maps are tougher with ar range but with the scanner an the mods an patience an caution an a decent squad you ll do well, try it ninjas

I have basically dropped my shield extenders and armor mods in favor of speed precision and dampeners. Run kin kats and dampener unless I am Not being scanned then it's kins and cardiac. All comes down to play style. I play the stealth ambush using sg and smg. Yes I die quick when seen but mostly just kill 1-3 and cheese it. Just wish I had 3 lows for all three mods all the time. I'm actually loving 1.4 for the tacnet changes and my sg working. People is dying!

Waiting on better dayss @niuvo Now, I don't put on my scout suit unless there's another one in squad to be honest. I'm still skilling further into my scout role. Regardless of its varying effectiveness, it is the most fun/frustrating/funny role to play. Also, shotgun footage is way more fun to watch, and the scout community is the best part of the community in my opinion. @shotty I think your commentary is pretty spot on for anyone in a scout suit. As for the fun, when we manage to get all the directors (big e, dolph, micnuts, darth, and myself) on we have a pretty good time and good laughs. We're a small group ATM but we mesh well at this point. For anyone else who was curious about my weird melee then shotgun glitch I've been getting you can see it happen on that Cal Logi @ 2:02 and on the Min Assault @ 2:26. I managed to get it again on my assault suit @ 8:29.

The results are quite depressing. I ran the EXACT same fittings using the EXACT same skills as the free Assault BPO and the difference was night and day. Going assault I felt suddenly invincible. Easily went 32/5 on the first match. Second match I went 24/7. Tried with my Scout suit and was met with dismal scores that I am almost ashamed to post but I will. 12/8 first match and 14/7 the second match. This was with Dual SMG's and Complex Shield Extenders. No speed mods, ect. The only real difference was in the dropsuit... Scouts need some serious attentions dammit! EDIT: Going to try again later using a NK fitting on each. Will post results later.

Just running an advanced minnie scout. Well I just tried again and I went 17/5 in the Medium and 7/7 in the Scout. That was with my dual SMG fit. With NK both were terrible. I don't even want to post them. NK are so broken right now and the dual SMG fit just feels like a ****** version of a Medium Dropsuit. EDIT: But yeah I am happy if I go positive with my Scout dropsuit. The first two scores are not representative of my NK fit which does god awful right now.
