Weren't they?

Tetris with the original gameboy may still be the most addictive game ever.

My first gaming console was the Intellivision. Would have been early 80's I guess? Can only remember two games. Qbert, which still doesn't make any sense to me, and a platformer where you had to make burgers while being chased by condiments...which thinking about it now, also doesn't make sense.
**** you 80's.

and Mass Driver is a sidearm, right?
I <3 mass driver. I had a great time getting four kills, by these guys coming out of an uplink, I guess. They knew i was "around the corner somewhere", but kept not having the guts to look AROUND the corner... or when they did, they got a grenade to the face. SO, they.. just.. clustered around *near* the corner... and got splashed to death.. ? ! ? ! ??
So nice when passive scan is one way only, AND you can shoot around corners, but enemy cannot...

Hrm...I never had a console until nes. I did play quite a few computer games though. Tempest, indy500, lemmings, doom...ah the old floppy disk.....like REAL floppy, as an adjective. Short stints of Atari at friends house but it was a bit expensive.
Needs less to say, most of the games I played ran through dos. There was no fancy operating system.

They won't stop until they never die to scouts again and we're back to being the underdogs we always were since Uprising.
CCP really really need to get those assault slots/stats hotfixed ASAP, so all this nonsense goes away - that is seriously all it will take.
Then at some point they can sort out the issue that bricktanking > ALL.

Oh in other news, skilled into standard mass driver for a quick ambush last night and it was really fun. Works great with passive scan and flanking. Took out tonnes of equipment and got like 10 assists in about 5 mins. Only 1 kill though but I imagine that would rise as I skill further up and use better variants. Will probably have to downgrade to standard nanohive and/or remotes to fit it on my passive scanning advanced gallente scout though.
But glad I tried it - my mind is made up. MD/ScP is my new combo. Then maybe one day I'll pick up the magsec and see how that feels as my sidearm...
But until I get myself some more SP most of my suits will still be running Br ScP/aSMG

Anyone running the Tac ScR/assault ScR on a scout btw? I think its the perfect flanker weapon for a scout, huge alpha burst + charge shot.
I got Prof 4 ScR from my old life as an assault, so I better try it!

I used to run assault ScR, with some success. When Uprising 1.4 hit, though, I died so fast I could never land the required amount of shots on my target, so I tried the tactical one. Took me a couple of games to get my aim right, but since then I've never looked back. It's excellent for precisely the reasons you mention.
If you flank someone at distance and mainly rely on well aimed charge shots, it's even quite stealthy. A lot of players won't be able to figure out where your shots are coming from if you lead with one fully charged shot and follow up with a couple of semi-charged ones. This, incidentally, helps you avoid the dreaded overheat, since the weapon will cool down as you charge up. You can't keep it up forever, but it beats one fully charged shot+spamming non charged shots for follow-up. That'll get you overheated within two or three follow-ups, depending on how fast your trigger finger is. |

I run Scrambler on my Minmatar suits -yeah, highest fitting cost weapon on lowest fitting suit- I love it. You plink people from far away or get in behind them and stab them. Combat Rifle is more effective, fitting wise and DPS, but it's a very rewarding feeling and a fun play style. I'm debating weather to use this commando/sidearm event SP for skilling into Cal-Sentinel or Amarr Assault. You really don't know how much you miss something until it is gone.

Does anyone have experience with the breech SMG? I skilled up SMG operations and sharpshooter to 3 to try it out for the sidearm event, and I'm really struggling with the normal/assault versions. The breech seems a bit lack lustre DPS wise, but would be interested to get some opinions on how it works in the field.
