Yes today I wanted to see if I could pull my old Killzone 3 tricks and you can! If you jump and throw RE simultaneously, you can get them to stick to the ceiling. Some are too tall but think about doorways and the underground halls in the Gallente research place or even on the Null Cannon up high.
Seriously it's fun trolling out there with REs where people never look.

How are you set sp/skill wise at this point? What style suits you? I am a bit unorthodox in my fittings myselfGǪ We have a crazy collection of folks here who can make damn near anything work im used to be medium cal so since i already have shields picked minmatar. I have a complex and basic shield extender in the high. A basic shotgun, submachine gun, quantum adv ascanners, adv reactive plate and adv profile dampner on adv minmatar light frame. Not a bad looking fit, I am guessing you do not have Min Scout skilled yet.
Shotgun is fun, just got back into that myself, touchy subject around these parts lately though SMG is a good combo with the SG in my opinion. Pistol is nice as well but whatever you have more comfort and SP in will work.
ScannersGǪ. some people run them some don't. I am in the not run category, for the reason that I don't want anyone to have any more indication that I am around, also takes my RE slot. (I really really really like explosives )
Reactive plates - Okay on my Gal I love them, but just the basic. No speed sacrifice, and minor rep is handy for limited engagement and retreat operations. I don't run them on my Min at all, I run Kincatz and Card so no space, and I am relying on my shields (with 70hp in armour I rarely find myself damaged, if I've hit armour I am usually already dead)
Shields - I doubt i need to say anything here, you probably have a firm understanding of what you are doing coming from a Cal background. Myself I never stack two modules the same, I run one extender (type based on what I can fit on the build) and fit the other slot to suit need.
I am sure others can give you some good advice as well.

I got a couple on an assault dropship tonight ... he was swooping around our objective, blasting people right and left, making everyone pretty miserable, so I got a running start and jumped off the elevated walkway right beside him when he came back through...

Yup yup.
To the OP; it's great fun when you can line em up. For example, when they are hacking side by side in a null cannon enclosure. Limited mobility, so even if they DO notice you... which they usually dont... they trip up trying to get away.
Most of the time, if you're quick and position yourself right for the first slice, the 2nd one doesnt notice his hacking buddy went down (Aim for the head! Particularly if one of them happens to be a heavy )
You have to be close to start with though, since the hack happens at double speed! Basically, with nullcannons, you need to practice your "run in, mini-charge, attack" without stopping approach. Whereas with other ones, you're not likely to get the chance to double-kinfe-kill, so you probably want to be ready to switch to backup weapon quickly.

Both fits are around 22k isk FYI - i did a bunch of calculations on reds and greens a month or so back and came to the conclusion that unless you're planning on running over 800m in one go, it's almost always quicker to use only reds rather than mixing in greens.

Those were some good calculations, I remember those. I only have one fit that run's reds though, and it's my harass the enemy speed + damage mod fit.....
Most of my others I go with green because I *hate* running out of stamina and not being able to escape. Also, I run all over the map hacking stuff and dropping uplinks.
Man, we scouts should really have a +1 hp/s innate armor rep bonus so we can run more biotics, range mods, etc.....
The min should have it b/c the assault has it, and the Gal should have it because it makes sense lore-wise.....
WTH CCP. Is 1 hp/s too much to ask? Probably yes, since 20m scan range was apparently too much to ask.

Also, last post of the night for me here, I swear.
I'm gonna be doing Shinobi. I also wanted to create a small "Challenge" for us scouts in scouts united.
It's simple. Play the event as usual. The goal is to get as many knife kills as possible. When the event is over, take a picture or record the amount of suits you get.
We will post it on the forums (I'm going to reserve the thread in a bit, so it's already up. I will also extend this to other players), and have a Ranking board for how we did.
Novice Shinobi: 25 kills Apprentice Shinobi: 50 Kills Adept Shinobi: 100 Kills Expert Shinobi: 150 Kills Master Shinobi: 200 Kills
No isk (unless I can convince Jadek to give out tickets for the tiers), but all bragging rights. It'll be fun.
What do you guys think?

The best part was all six of us chasing down one guy.
The panic. Oh my god the panic.
He backpedalled, sprayed his gun, his sidearm, chucked grenades, and tried to hop away.
We all just kept running in between cover and closing the distance. He only managed to kill one before we all hit him at once.
We couldn't stop laughing

I like! Count me in :-) If I may suggest ... (for once the event is underway)
* Ask participants to check in with their daily NK kill totals. * Encourage participants to share their stories ... maybe even drop names of victims :-) * Keep a running total for each participant on a front-page event leaderboard.
Let me know if I can help. o7
Update: I've changed my mind about knives. Though they're far from the optimal choice for a Gallente Scout ... There is something uniquely appealing about killing with them.
Carved my first HMG heavy last night. It was a slow and painful dance. Not unlike a prison shanking.
