While Hit Detection's wonky at times, I feel like my damage output with is OK against most non-Heavies as long as I'm running Adv / Pro. Heavies present a 'bit of a problem, but I think it has more to do with their combined staying power and pirouette speed than my damage output ...
:: Plunk :: [heavy bunny hops / rotates mid-air] :: Plunk :: [heavy's nearly facing me, firing wildly] :: Plunk :: [heavy's backpedaled beyond my optimal]
Two plunks is generally the most I get off before I'm face-to-face with a target. Two plunks is not even half of what I need to drop a well-equipped Gal Sentinel.
So what do we do?
* Pack REs for Gal Heavies? - Rattati says "good luck with that" * Reduce backpedal speed? - Logibro said no * Ask for more SG damage / range? * Rework for efficiency vs armor? * Reduce heavy rotation speed?
Methinks buffing the Shotgun on account of Heavies may make it too good against non-Heavies. So I say we shoot for the last one. The Pirouette is cute, but its causing problems.

I've been running Creodron w/two damage amps. Could be my imagination, but I think it saves me a blast against Sentinel gk.0s ...

You need a capture card to prove it. All you need to do is get a MLT Gal Heavy frame. Rotate on camera, using the device to time a full circle and watch for acceleration. add a plate to the fit. repeat. add a second plate to the fit. repeat.
do the same on the Gal Scout.

Not sure if it is exactly the same or not but I remember the change when players were arguing that the lack of turn speed messed with their aiming capability and second nature feel they wanted.
The argument was role playing vs competitive shooter

It was more based on muscle memory. All the frames had different turn speeds. Not just heavy. I would swap between all three frames in chrome and it was very frustrating to swap. Thats the only issue I see with changing the speed caps. Its really difficult to relearn how to aim. Go from 100 sensitivity down to 20 in a single game and notice how difficult it gets.
Having a single frame turn slower like a heavy probably wouldnt be too bad as long as dispersion was increased on the HMG. ITs still way too accurate. You don't need fine aiming if you have an HMG with decent dispersion as well as slow turn speed. You don't need to be accurate, aka have fine turning like you would with a rifle. Would make heavys utilize their own weapons more as well. Could be beneficial overall.

I don't know that I agree. In my mind, equivalent rotation speeds between a 250HP character and a 1,500HP can't be justified, even "its difficult for a merc to adapt when he switches between frames."
Pirouetting Heavies fly in the face of reason, balance, physics and llastronomy :-)
