After much mocking of the Amarrr "Scout".. I actually tried it yesterday. And was impressed. It's very newb friendly.
You can fit the basic scout, with Two armor plates, and a repairer, and a basic cloak, and a shotgun, and a bolt pistol. 400+HP scout for mimimal SP investment.
A cheap scout, that can survive a shotgun blast, is a nice thing to have. It may be a slowmoving, blind hog of a scout but it's still in the useful category

That and climbing things should be a thing, like you jump, just miss the ledge, grab onto it, pull yourself up. Make that use stamina and perhaps the Amarr scout will be more useful for getting into various places.

It can get everywhere that my Gal scout can get, but more easily. Not because it jumps better, but because I can get to where I need to be with enough Stamina to make the jumps. For example the rail-beam-beam-roof jump in the Facility, is done way quicker with the Amarr than the Gal, due to having a lot more stamina on arrival, and recovery between jumps. Also they can clear a few of my long jump gaps just as easily as the Spook, not sure if I land any further but they are not noticeably shorter on the jump.

Spouse has run Heavy for awhile, and she added Amarr scout to her suit list. Even with 3 Electronics and 3 Engineering it's not hard to fit what you want on their and make a durable fit. Legacy of her Heavy is a Armour Upgrades to 5 so she has a pile of HP no matter what, leaving a lot of room for EWAR in the slots and solid weapon selection even high fitting cost items like the ScR.

And I dont understand why this would come as a shock - it was said before but Amarr users wanted "sexy"

I agree it should be anti-armour
Rail Tech SG - Pretty balanced Armour Shield wise fitting to the Gal version - May be interesting as a slug through rather than scatter shot so as to balance range philosophy - Lower RoF than the Gal SG?
Combat SG - Armour/Shield profile as projectile - More pellets than Gal, bigger scatter? - Higher alpha?
Focused Blast SG (Minsplosive SG) -Explosive Damage profile -Shoots a shaped charge explosive focused away from the user -BOOM

I just find it interesting that the jump distance seems to equal, it is only a .20 difference in speed. other than that running and jumping in game play works out better than the Gal scout, not a surprise with the Stamina base and bonus.
Most of us were saying that about the slots and Fitting ability during the lead up to 1.8 when the shouting was happening.

Amarr Shotgun Semi-auto More range than Min Shotgun Little dispersion Similar clip capacity to Gal Shotgun Lower RoF than Gal Shotgun Essentially a laser buck shot
Cladari Shotgun Semi-auto Most range of shotguns No dispersion 1 shot in clip Very high damage (1HKO on mediums and lights) Medium-high or high reload time Essentially an elephant gun |

My thoughts would be Minmitar for next shotgun, least if we want antiarmor.
Minmitar "multi flaylock launcher" Smaller blast radius on each pellet. Would have 6 pellets that go about 10m and explode. Can kill yourself obviously.
Amarr "death bloom" basically a short AOE (think lightbulb on the end) that does damage over time, can overheat. Amarr charge shotgun could also be in lore
Caldari autoshotgun with spool up time.

Meh.
Scaled down version of plasma cannon. half the damage, half the shooting delay. reduced range Maybe with more rounds in the clip
Plasma... (xxxx) ?
Assault plasma cannon?
Mind you, this is sounding very similar to the MD. So maybe the whole concept is redundant. Or maybe, we need an MD version, or equivalent, that doesnt have splash damage. YES!!!
Maybe something that, rather than shooting "grenades", shoots some kind of putty blob that melts armor on contact. but it does have to actually CONTACT.
So, high contact damage, but the "blobbiness" is what limits the range.
(Hmm.. would be amusing to have a weapon that is like anti-flux: goes straight through shields, WITHOUT DAMAGING, but practically disolves almost any armor.)

So, this whole cloak stuff (I know, beating a dead horse with a morbidly obese dog in the middle of winter on a shrinking island in shark infested waters) is it limited purely to Shotty's and Cloaks? Or Cloaks in generally? Like if I gib someone with a Scrambler rifle, would they assume I used a cloak to get an edge? If I one-shot them with an Ion pistol, would they blame the cloak I may or may not have used?

Shotgun scouts were getting called out for glitching prior to the cloak, because they were using fields of view and speed to their advantage and scrubs couldn't imagine someone being able to get that close to them without being seen.
So yes. Every kill you get as a scout since 1.8 dropped will be attributed to abusing the cloak. Because scrubs are going to scrub.

Something like this happened to me too. I landed several times, hitting my inertial dampener each time, and then the game decided that wasn't good enough. Crappy moment for the rubber banding.

I've just had moments when I practically teleport into the ground. I've a habit of activating my dampeners right before I hit the ground, but this time I stalled for like half a second, next thing BLAM! Straight into the ground.

Need some advice on my AV fit.
This is what I'm currently running (Advanced level items are due to skill/fitting constraints).
M/1 - Complex Kin Cat Complex Dampener
Complex Shield Extender Enahnced Light Manage Mod
F/45 Remote Explosives Compact Nanohive
CBR7 Swarm Launcher Assault Scrambler Pistol EX-0AV Grenade
~40k
Just wanted to get some opinions, am I best off dropping the AV grenade for the Flux? At the moment I'm using the REs for the primary strike to try and drop shields before hitting them with the Swarms, and the Grenades are for when they come hunting me and I don't have time for a lock. I'm not getting many kills but I can manage to keep 2/3 tanks occupied simultaniously if there's reasonable terrain around for me to hide in. I've noticed a couple of people mentioned that fluxes can be used to set off the REs in a combined alpha strike, which might net me a couple more kills, just not sure how effective it is. These days most tankers I run into seem to have picked up their game, so I generally only get 1 RE stuck before they race off into the distance and crash into a mountain.
