A couple ones I recall wanting but couldn't afford at the time were Heavy Rain, FarCry 3, Red Dead Redemption.
Any older games you guys recommend? I'm ok with almost any genre.
A lot of people mentioned some great games. If you haven't played L.A. Noire, I would really recommend it, and I would also recommend the Assassins Creed series if you have no already as well.

"Scouts take a break from Dusting" I would say that if you've played DUST 514 for extensive times or as your only game for a long time, trying something new and fresh makes you appreciate DUST as it is in a whole new way. Sure, there are the occasional glitches, and the raging moments, and the hopeless protostomps that rid the game, but I still like DUST, and playing a purely rage-inducing game like Dark Souls II has made me perform better in battle.
So yeah, take a break, try some other games you may have tried. It helps a lot, at least for me it did.
And I'm insulted that none of you have mentioned Super Stardust HD or Wipeout HD + Fury expansion, both of those games are awesome!

As Shotty forgot Dragon Age, I forgot Wipeout. I got gold on nearly every single map and almost got platinum for my friend. Just like Infamous I got it for free from the PSN hack.
Super Stardust HD... maybe if it is free for PS+ members. There are a lot of the HD series/remake/reinvisiond platformer games in the PSN store. They're all really awesome, but I've never spent money on them. Always just played them when I was at a friend's place.
OMG. I said that and I forgot.

I just don't get it Before 1.8 I could sneak up on anyone and shoot them with my SG. many times only to have them turn around and rifle me to the face while back peddling. Now everybody complains that the insta die to the SGGǪ Sneak up on someone and blap them with or without cloak, and it is different than 1.7 So is it people running much less HP than before? SG hit detection just better ? SG received a stealth tweak ? Loss of RoF should have affected how fast someone dies Shield damage is calculated wrong? Shear volume of people using the SG generates more tears? Alpha damage weapons are actually effective in the new TTK?
Still finding that my Shield preferential damage weapons are more effective than my Armour ones.

People got mad QQ about the cloaks and the shotty. The only issue I have is the firing while cloaked and the ability for scout suits to surpass mediums when HP tanking.
My alpha weapon (SCP headshot) took a hit in 1.8, mostly due to the proficiency change, and the massive tank and resistances the heavies have.
I don't mind dying to a shotgunner to the back but I hate when some invisi-tard, uber tanked wanna-be 1.8 scout runs up to my face firing rounds and despite multiple body shots his 800 HP absorbs it all and I die.
That being said, I did take down 1 of those scrubs head-on who was trying to do that to me last night.
Suck on those ScP rounds you craptastic fake scout.... get your tactics up to snuff.

I feel like I already stated that flux should only focus on shield.... Somewhere...... Anyways its bad news IMO to have nades that effecttoo many things. Ewar nades could disrupt cloak and fuzz up radar in a 20m radius. Obviously that's a fire from the hip explanation. But my thoughts.

I don't think flux should cause a decloak rather damage incomming should cause a drain on the cloak battery instead where flux is then indirectly draining, it should be more on hit based over damage amount based.

I do like this idea and my next proposal I am totally stealing from someone else, but can't remember who. What if when hit you decloaked for an short amount of time and make it based on damage received.
So when hit by any of the rifle varients you would decloak for say 1/2- 1 full second and when hit with splash damage or something like a flux it would decloak you for 3ish seconds. The damage wouldn't effect the cloak timer directly, but it would still be draining while you are taking damage.
Also the numbers I used are purely for the sake of example and in no way are they intended to be balanced.

@ IWS Thanks for the feedback.
@ Goose I'd much rather "shimmer more" when hit then to have cloak disabled for X seconds, especially if I have to manually turn it back on. It already takes too long to open the weapon wheel and activate cloak; it'd blow to have to do reactivate each and every time an errant bullet connects.
@ Appia on Knight Solitaire He's one of us, and I think I may have found the source of his angst. If he's still shotgunning, he's likely loosing to CalScouts who can see him and GalScouts who he can't see. Hence, flame and blame. Can't fault the guy; I'd be mad too if I were Minmatar.
@ Minmatar (paging Ghost Kaisar) Are the Minmatar's problems limited to resources and fitting constraints? Is it my imagination, or is knifing a bad idea this build?

IWS, I like the Cloak, but if they are going to nerf scouts, just take the cloak. I believe in the argument that others have posted that if you nerf scouts, you can't buff med frames and heavies will be the new QQ. Scouts ate in a good place, even the Amarr isn't *that* bad. A good buff to assaults, some minor changes to current frames, and we have balance. |

On my Min fitting is the dominant issue I have Electronics 5, Engineering 4, Sidearms 5, Explosives 4, Core 5 and my fits cannot compare to what I can do on my gal Account. Where I have similar skills for fitting with the exception of Engineering which is only at 1 because I have not needed to skill it up for fitting anything yet. As a min I spend more SP just trying to make stuff fit than i do on things to fit. (And I run Flaylock ~ seriously the easiest to fit weapon)
Also the Min and the Amarr scouts are not comparable to the Cal or Gal in utility

I feel that the Minmatar Scout has a very good base speed and stamina regeneration, because of that I don't fit Biotic modules on it. Fitting really isn't that big of an issue when you don't use those.

@ Fat Bastard
I think when you compound the fitting restraints (and being an NKer, I find kincats to be helpful in chasing people down from behind, otherwise it takes even longer, and leaves me more vulnerable) with the scanning and fitting capabilities of other suits.
I find that also running adv cloak and dampeners is practically mandatory if I don't want to stick out like a squishy light bulb on others tacnets. To me, being able to scan someone is the greatest advantage in the game, and combining that with the ability to not be scanned at the same time significantly increases the advantage. Other scouts are able to do this far easier than minjas, while also being able to fit better weaponry, or armor etc.
This is mostly observation, with only a hint of complaint, as I actually enjoy hard mode, and the challenge of needing to outsmart or use superior skills to take down opponents (one reason I have yet to fully embrace the CR which is both easy to fit, and suits minjas rather well).
There are just times in which I think the only viable counter to someone or some circumstance is avoidance, which should never be the sole option. Particularly when those instances appear to take little skill.
On a different topic:
Someone said, maybe Appia?, that some of the bonuses from skilling into other suits could be universally applied. I wanted to double check and see if that was true, or which bonuses/races in particular this would refer to. I also could have misunderstood. Any clarification would be great.

Red pills are mandatory if you want to knife. Those fits are great, but can be outdone on the gal scout with ease.
Something else to notice, you are forced to fit basic great on an adv suit with level 5 skills. Other scouts you can mostly fit complex gear on a adv suit.
The disparity is the issue. Along with overlapping/outdoing roles. Which is what caused slayer logis. Minmitar won't be used if it can be outdone with a different suit.

Secondary post as this is about cloak. But if things like flux start to drain cloak, along with weapons. I see a lot fewer people running them. Cloaks make my life a little easier, but if they get to be "more trouble", I will gladly use that second equipment slot for something that has more tangible uses.
Currently I only use cloak for its damp bonus and hacking nonobjective points.
