I bet that's as good or better than shotgunning the driver as he swings past you. Even better when you get the passenger AND THEN the driver in 2 passes. Best feeling ever! |

I need to learn how to do this. Just this morning some dbag was driving around in an LAV, and when he couldn't run me over, he just jumped out, put one round of his CR through my construction paper suit, and drove off.

He was the third guy I killed in an LAV that game. First I sniped a guy with the charged shot from my templar Scrambler rifle waiting for him to get in and got the headshot. Second I shot a guy as he tried to go backwards away from me. third time he got stuck and I knifed him

Of course. Only issues is if your state allows it...some states are a little more picky than others.
I've brewed all sorts of different types, I really enjoy a good sour beer. There are some real bad sour beers, but I had one over Christmas that changed my life. Was called "the beer that saved Christmas"
In terms of my favorite beer I have made....probably my pumpkin beer this year. Most commercial places go way overboard on the spices and I love a good pumpkin, so I made my own. Best part about brewing your own, you always have beer.....it's good beer, it's cheap, and it's usually 6-7% alcohol.

Only knifed for a game or so on this alt when working up my wp for forum posting and never got the opportunity to knife a driver :(
Fortunately, headshotting a heavy out of the driverseat with my breach scrambler pistol is also lots of laughs :)

I like overly spiced pumpkin beer. Though I really just like all beer. Each with a unique taste... Stone, Great Lakes, and Tighthead (local) are probably my favorite companies. Only ones I don't like are lagers. I've always wanted to try brewing my own beer, but the kits to do it are priced beyond my means. So I'll stick to making my own wine :p

I have yet to successfully knife a guy after jumping on top of their LAV.. don't know if you have to crouch to do it
but its really annoying, its not easy jumping onto an LAV and so after that fact you think it would be a simple fact of facing the driver and knifing
sadly I always seem to miss, and then they panic switch seats or jump out instantly and kill me.
Really need to add some sort of time delay on those
PS. why wasn't this thread on the first page, I actually had to go looking for it |

I'm hit and miss on stone....Appia I bet you like "crime and punishment"
Mosts kits run about $30-50, which makes 5 gallons. Its very economical if you think about the cost of beer in the store along with % alcohol. Most microbrews come in cases of 6 - 12oz bottles ranging from 7-15$ each. I pay about half that when brewing my own. But then again, I would probably drink half as much if I was buying it haha.
I've thought about wine making, but all the grapes I can grow in my region are very very sweet....blech on sweet wine.

Jeez there's a lot of nonsense in GD these days - just a look through the front page and there's not even one thread I would consider worthy of my time, bar this one.
Nonsense about proto stomping, nonsense about not even announced 1.8 changes, nonsense about the war room. Where the hell are all the forumites who actually talk about constructive things? I get the feeling everyone has just tired of 1.7 and is waiting for 1.8, so no one even bothers talking about the actual game anymore - even in here we barely talk about Dust since the suits announcement excitement died down.
Hurry up Chinese New Year so CCP can get 1.8 out and we can all get onto the next page in our Dust lives!

TBH, that corp isn't much more active than here. The scout community has just hit a bit of a slump since its been a while since the last update or dev info and we've already exhausted our theory crafting on what info they have given us.
If the devs start releasing more info next week, conversation should pick back up.

But..but who am I suppose to ask about about pros/cons about going SGN/ScP instead of the AR/SMG combo I've run since 1.4?
Lv1 operations in the two former and lv2 prof/sharpshooter in the two latter.
I'm trying to maintain discipline and max out all my ewar skills and engineering 5 before 1.8, but at the very least I'd like to get ScP ops to 5 - I'm flabbergasted about how much better I can do with this new combo.
Now that I've got some real SP behind me. I don't need the range the AR gave (which is kinda laughable now anyway) when flanking, but I promised myself I wouldn't invest in weapons until I was done with ewar/fittings anyway...
Stupid choices.

I'm sure plenty of scouts here or in the Nos Nothi would be glad to answer any of your questions. (I don't use the shotty or ScP so I can't offer much assistance)
We've had less to talk about so we've been quieter. Doesn't mean we've stopped watching the forums though.

Was in a PC the other night against Dust Brazil and had fun harassing the enemy home point for most of the game, however towards the end they got wise to me and stuck their own GK0 there to sneak up on me! Got me to thinking that maybe I should spec up Precision Enhancers because with 2 of them I'll be able to passive scan GK0s as long as they're not running dampeners and in 1.8 I'll actually be able to put 2 precision enhancers on my GK0. If they use dampeners I'm screwed though.
So, with that in mind, I'm half thinking of skilling up a CK0 for these kind of encounters and then filling my lows with dampeners. Anyone wanna do those numbers for me? A CK0 with dampeners vs a GK0 with precision enhancers?
Only thing is, with a dampened CK0 I can't put on code breakers and have no innate armor regen but will have 4 high slots I don't really know what to do with... 2 x damage mods, extender and recharger or something like that?

Thanks Krom! I guess I'd still be able to fit one codebreaker on the CK0 then and still beat the proto scanners.
Surprised that the difference in precision is so small with the calscout skill bonus though - thought it would be like an innate passive focused duvolle!
