I'm not even sure the damage mod is needed, I've been melting faces with it on the scout suit since it came out with no damage mods. Unless it magically became ultra needed since 1.6
It isn't needed, but it is noticeable.

not that shotty doesn't deserve the spotlight, but they edit those a lot. Got to see DJINN Punisher's spotlight 'before and after' interview and found they cut a lot of the good parts out.

Any other scouts using the scrambler rifle, are you using the assault variant? Is it worth using the advanced version compared to the standard? When the new maps came out, I immediately got proto scrambler rifle, using the charge shot to replace my sniper rifle. The single shot is really good for the high end of "mid" range combat. I like my templar scrambler rifle on my dragonfly scout  On the mini-assault gk.0 I use the Carthum with 1 damage mod. and a viziam pistol. great results, usually surprised if I get less than 20 kills in an OMS or die more than once
Thank you for the update, only downside is that is it is amar, how can it be better than Gallente technology. It is just so much fun to use, not yet sure if I should dump my remaining SP into the scrambler rifle or wait and see how the new rail rifle will perform. |

In other news - this latest event (or possibly just the proto stomp in general these days) has really taken its toll on me. If you missed my quafe questioning thread, I was asking why some many people were running so much proto to get essentially useless quafe suits that would be next to worthless when the market comes. People were saying that the necessary KDR to maintain a profit of 10-1 is easily achieved! WTF!? All these OP douches with their duvolles and imperials are really p*ssing me off lately. I know I could just spec into them myself but honestly I've never liked using mid range rifles in FPSs and they don't suit my style and I am sure that one day the mid range weapons will get nerfed but I've been thinking this for around 6 months now and there's just no sign of it and that makes me sad.

I hear you, man. The past week was brutal! I got about 50 kills with my proto viziam pistol in my standard scout suit and I really had to work to put down those imperial toting proto bears. I'm glad the event was over, and I'm glad to be switching back to my cheaper pistols...
This viziam tears up lesser suits, and proto's with headshots but running two of 'em made my deaths very expensive.... it's only like 35k a suit but dying as much as I do adds up.... 
Man, if only the breach had a faster ROF.... |

Sadly, until they change the isk gains erupting from PC the protostomping wont end for a loooooooong time.

Buncha people pony up 1mil ISK or whatever it takes, for a PC battle with some random people. Schedule it so Shotty can join in... and people can play whatever they like, but "our" team all uses shotguns.

Yeah, he is too humble for that even if he deserves it. I hope he will change is mine and try to become CPM. With is knowledge of the game, the skill he have in it, the communication he get with all scouts players & shotgunners, the stats and graph he always bring on the table, his experience in other FPS and his dedication to the game we can't find a better CPM than Shotty |

Right now, running uplink immediately puts a target on my back when deployed. Perhaps equipment shroud tiers instead of radius; ex. level 3 gives advanced gear your profile signature, but not level 4 gear. |

I think it's more reasonable that higher tiered uplinks should have lower signature.
Maybe some more than others. similar to how there are different types of scanners at the same tier.
lower db = lower spawn capabilities due to decreased power.

Jolly roger is a Powerful scout.
I've faced him several times.I just wish more of those engagements would have been 1 on 1 thou. Having to worry about other Anon and Unknown K players shooting at me and then get owned from behind takes a way a little of the glory.
Still,very successful at USING his team mates as distraction...
