Unfortunately I think it is outside of the realm Hotfix kind of changeGǪ but I could be wrong it may be a workload to staff issue. I don't know if Logibro and Rattati have the time to implement those changes and the hamster recently had a stroke soGǪ his coding is a bit off.

The problem with Dust is that it now is severely limited in what sorts of changes can be done. We aren't even sure that passive scanning can be taken out.
So long as we understand that certain ideas are wishful thinking, or at the very least will remain Legion specific, it is fine to discuss them.
Lets just not get them mixed in with talking about changes with regard to Dust given the current constraints.

Assaults do need better regen, but not as good as scouts. The reason scouts have high regen is because if the low EHP (when not bricked at least). Assaults certainly need an improvement to regen, but with their extra fitting space and high regen... 300 EHP scouts getting back in to the fight quickly isn't a problem. 800 EHP suits able to do the same is.

Assaults have been out-assaulted by too many things for too many builds. The Assault Frame must be good enough at killing things to attract frontline slayers; a regen bonus alone likely would not prove sufficiently attractive. Here's what I'm thinking instead:
Assault Bonuses: + 5% fitting reduction to light/sidearm weaponry (no change) +1 HP/sec armor regen per level
Replace Existing Racial Bonuses: CA) +2% RoF to rail weaponry per level GA) +2% RoF to hybrid-blaster weaponry per level MN) +2% RoF to projectile weaponry per level AM) +5% reduction to laser weaponry heat buildup per level (no change)
So we buff damage output to attract the slayers, but do so indirectly to avoid direct overlap with Commando bonus. What do you guys think?

if they both have the effect of increasing DPS by 10% what's the difference, other than Snipers, Shotguns, and Mass Drivers wouldn't get much mileage out of it. You're still stuck with the same problem of Assaults being confined to a single weapon. Your bonus doesn't apply to different weapons. You don't have the attractive quality of a Slayer by being able to choose how you engage people.

Yes, an RoF increase would be less effective than a flat damage increase. Are you suggesting one or the other be applied to all weaponry?

The reason being is to minimize the skill investment required by a newbie to get a decent assault suit. The less bonuses you put on, the less gimped the newbie will feel, as he will have the bonuses from the get go.

I didn't get to play alpha, but people have put together the class skill trees and attributes, so that you can "Build" your character.
Mine looks like this so far:
Exo Hunter: Gunslinger
At endgame, I have VERY high recovery and Agility. Not much toughness. Sound familiar?
I get throwing knives, and every time I get a "Precision Shot" (Crit hit or headshot probably) I reload my gun faster (It stacks) and if I get a knife precision kill, it resets the cooldown to zero.
I'll be a jumping agile little war machine that tears people to shreds with crits and never lets up the assault. At range, I'll use a DMR and unleash bullet storm, as I reload faster with every headshot.
