Lastly, in the scout proposal there are mod bonuses, please be careful with balancing those. Roles should not overlap too greatly. (aka a double precision enhancing cal scout has no real "benefit" over a gal scout with dual precision enhancers.)

Also since we brought up origin dates. I have only been on the registry since pg. 93. I didn't run scout more than 50% of the time before that and I didn't want to ruin metrics. Good ol days of needing to fill a role in PC............thats long gone.

As for a racial theme I'd like to suggest that suits with many high slots be given shorter range to counterbalance their ability to fit Precision Enhancers.
And suits with many low slots are given a higher base Scan Precision because of their ability to fit Range Amplifiers.
Basically short powerful scans or long distance weak scans. |

PvP was pretty good. A lot smaller and tight knit than Dust.
I spent an afternoon just wandering around the wilds with a sniper rifle, taking in the views, finding little hidden spots.
But it depends on what you enjoy in a game, will appeal to fans of Borderlands and Halo. There are specific rewards etc you can only get through PvP so it doesn't feel too tacked on.
But some people will like it, others won't. I'm in the former though. The Alpha was great fun.

Anyway, something to consider if a client-side update is coming at some point or, at least, for Legion. Possible constraints notwithstanding, I think its a good idea, at least in theory.
Something like this I would have to see in action to really get a feel for how it would affect the game.
I also have liked one of the other Bastard's recommendations of profile variability or volatility. Perhaps it could vary according to the action taking place, what gear you had equiped etc.
Again something I would like to see in action and get a feel for, but I don't see either idea being worse than the mechanics we have now.

I'm currently working on some new ideas and I wanted to get your thoughts.
So in my time playing with scouts and specifically cloaks, it seemed to me that on a Standard Scout suit can't feasibly fit a Standard Cloak & fill its slots until around level 3 of Scouts. I feel that (typically speaking) cloaks are an essential part of the scout role, and it is odd that someone new to the role has to reach level 3 before they can use it.
How would you guys feel about giving a flat reduction to the CPU/PG cost of cloaks (equivalent to the current level 5 bonus)? Or even better, tie to the Light Frame skill, which requires level 3 to unlock Scouts, thus giving people the ability to use cloaks right away once that Scout role is unlocked?
Like my ideas?

At this point in time, I personally have no problem with it. However, when they were coming up with fitting costs, cloaks had more benefits, and CCP didn't want to make it too easy to get one.
I can't say that I know what the answer is. I think I would like to see other aspects of the scouts adjusted first, as scouts should be viable without cloaks, and then see where to go from there.
I also know that the cloak nerf has resulted in a lot of scouts no longer equipping them. Not to mention there are a number of respected scouts that never much cared for cloaks to begin with.

I think overall many things need to be reworked in terms of PG/CPU cost, and I would also like to see some variants of the cloak (or just active equipment in general).
Even so, since the cloak is a major draw for many players, as it is somewhat the Scout's signature feature, I think restricting it's use to new scouts isn't very good practice.
Like my ideas?

I'll run through the PvE here and there (mostly to upgrade my stuff easier) Like I think a good bit of people will do, since u can progress stuff (weapons, suits, abilities) in PvE or PvP and can in turn use those things in ether game mode.
That PvP though, awwwww yeah.Fun as hell, looks like there is going to be 5 or 6 game modes from what I saw in the alpha I'd have to look at the footage to tell exactly. Only 1 game mode was in the alpha (domination) It was fast paced, accuracy mattered, vehicles being limited and easily destroyed, 1 of the maps in the alpha had a good mixture of long range/short range fighting (moon), 2nd map (earth) was just pretty much just cqc shotguns everywhere, weird bit was everyone being able to carry 3 weapons. Primary weapon, special weapon (shotgun, sniper rifle) heavy weapon (hmg, rockets) just the ones I saw in the alpha. They have weapon ammo drops to control how much the special weapons/heavy weapons are used, could see them tweaking that timer a bit more.
