I played one match today... everything is a bit weirder than before, but knives work! Despite the clumsiness of not playing for so long I went 13-10. I guess not bad. 10 knife kills tho.. so yea. They are working pretty great! I even had a knife fight with some dude.. Markus I believe. I took him in a fight. It was so funny to immediately get into one. It used to be such a rare thing and he I get into one not even 5 minutes into the match. Mr. Musturd must have people scared of knives because one guy even ran away from me. That, is also, something I thought I'd never see.

I had a **** ton of SPs waiting for me so I kicked my knife prof to lv 5 as well as hacking. I'm not exactly familiar with the new tac net, but it didn't seem to cramp my style. And so shotguns actually work as well? Me and my boy The Ugly might have to jump on tonight and give it a spin. BF4 has been... lacking....

Maybe if CCP keeps this up we'll have some kind of fix for scouts by 2015?

Though about 3 months ago I tried one of the legacy controller settings for a month and I could not aim for crap but I could strafe like kb/m, consequently my kdr dropped about 0.2. It's a bird! You're slow to turn around but if you're smart you won't have to check your own back. It makes fine aiming easier at ranges that matter in my opinion. Maybe testing out a new commando light frame, the pilot suit will get two light weapons. Just to see how it will perform with two light weapons. Compared to other standard/militia suits with only militia and standard equipment I think it is a great suit. I had allot of fun with the combination of shotgun and assault rifle. Maybe they are testing if the shotgun should change to sidearm type or that the AR should be a sidearm

It was entertaining. You rock with knives and pistols. Ghost was a badass I see. I'll try and be in more scout squads now. Funny vid too. "maybe we should get a bite to eat?" "maybe not?" lol We should promote more scout violence and all do skirmishes or FWs? So we have a better chance running into each other. Great tips and great video to show noobs the way of the scout. Also a great shame to those AR med frames. Such a shameful way to play. LOL on the guy that crouched while hacking, he made you miss. This is what dust is all about. Are you going to skill into rapid reload and ammo cap?

I've been meaning to post in our registry to tell you something I find interesting with my gameplay recently. With the last respec, I skilled into proto AR. I also was using KB/M, and have been until two weeks ago. I stopped playing AR a while back due to it being incredibly boring and no real skill involved any more, and went back to my scout roots from open beta. But I continued using KB/M. I've been playing around with the sensitivity for a while, and getting frustrated at how many shots I miss with the SG. I either turn to fast or too slow it seems - just **** accuracy. I put that down to my gun-game, and that others are simply better at it. Anyway, in analysing my play as best I can, I decided I needed to change something, and thought I would test out a theory related to turning speed and acceleration by going back to the DS3 controller for a bit (what I used when I first started playing) First game I play with that, I am landing so many shots and basically feeling like a beast (everything's relative). I swear to god there's aim-assist on the shotgun - either that, or the shotgun play-style really isn't suited to KB/M. As for the KB/M advantage with strafing that some of you guys have seen, that never seemed to help me, so I don't feel like I miss that - dead scout is dead :-p Plus I only went KB/M as I feel that's better for mid-range AR aiming. Further games since then prove to me that I'm simply better using the DS3 controller - I'm far more effective and actually feel like I can win 1 v 1 fights, and maybe even 2 v 1 if I play it right. I'm hitting targets with a far higher degree of accuracy now.

Loving it so far, no need to look up my kdr or total kills Shotty, the amount of scrolling required to find me at the bottom of the leader boards would probably break your DS3. I'm working on improving my aim by actually aiming (drastic change of pace after 5 months of panic firing my AR) and my ability to stay below the radar so I can properly introduce people to the business end of one of my pistols. Hopefully one day you will be able to add my name to the registry. Until then I will be on sporadically flying by the seat of my pants, and looking good doing it. o7

And being called a "proto ***" for killing a Black Eagle suit with a Viziam Scrambler Pistol Control scheme: DS3, Y-Axis inverted, 100/100 sensitivity. If my head moves forward, I look down. If my head moves backwards, I look up. If you look down the sights of a weapon and push it forward, again it looks down... I can't understand how people play without the Y-axis inverted. Granted, I've been playing FPS's for nearly 20 years so it's hard to break the habit. Also weird to me when other snipers run on low sensitivity, I don't get how that helps. And because this game's designers are dumb, analogue input makes you strafe and run slower than digital input if you aren't using 100/100 sensitivity Lately, I'm getting wrecked by Gallente Logistics. 3 shots from the CreoDron and they have like 60HP left. I saw Assert Dominance doing well with the Allotek Breach. . . Tried it out on a new fit: basic shield extender, allotek breach, toxin SMG, flux 'nade, compact nanohive, complex kincat, enhanced card.reg, complex plate, and complex ferroscale Pub match setting: really nice as long as it is a city and I have access to logistics guys with 70hp/s hives/rep tools PC setting: nope. time between first and second shot (proficiency III) is long enough to gun me down. Lots of good informative stuff in there sprinkled around the cussing :p One missing point, was that you speak against the use of scanners.. but you dont mention what kind of base suit passive range is needed to actually be effective at this. A scout can't spend all their time camping friendly objective points. I personally find that using scanners hugely helps scout survivability when getting TO an objective, unless you have capped range, and maybe a range mod. And even then.. you wont be able to see other sneaky scouts, whereas even an ADV scanner will help you at least see the not-so-sneaky scouts.
