Damn Shotty... you forgot about me, i'ma using proto scout, in some rare occasions Quafe Scout. I have 10k+ kills & 4.64 KDR. Though i switched from sg\r.exp to sniper rifles + links\r.exp... but i still killing ppl in cqc, even with tac sr, heavies my faworite victims. |

i'd say best camper of times before uprising.... where ppl was like oneshots to Thale SR. And he never used scouts, he only used suits with biggest EHP to camper snipe. Easy mode pitiful camper sniper... now you even with charge & Thale need to do 2+ headshots in a row to kill tanked logi\heavy, and there just few ppl that can perform headshot on moving target from 400+ meters. And it's harder with charge version, because it shoots on releasing button, takes more prediction I'ma hard mode scout sniper, take headshots into account, i bought them 10k in case price get fixed to proto category lol. Or else? I'm watching him trough contact/leaderboards, he is at 1600 kills like from CBT... This guy is not even DUST, if he does i wonder where the **** he's hiding, because i play all game modes on all regions & i didn't saw him even once. Even Maken known as legendary scout knifer is barely seen & dies more than kills. I do not approve kamikaze play style.
Knifing is hard if you are scout, playing as scout with little to no support from squad\squads... I smell alot of BS around here.

From my observations & tests Long Range Scanning & Scout Skill works with base scan radius of frame, every level of those skills adds exactly 1m. with maxed skills it's 20m for Gallente scout. Then Range Amplifiers works with "'base + skills" - with maxed skills each Cmp Range Amplifier adds 9m (no penalties). When i run my shotty gk.0 scout with 3 Cmp Amplifiers i'm picking up ppl before second ring of radar (50m), with 4 mods after second ring. So walues will be: Lvl(5) GalScout + Lvl(1) Long Range Scanning = 16 meters Lvl(5) GalScout + Lvl(2) Long Range Scanning = 17 meters Lvl(5) GalScout + Lvl(3) Long Range Scanning = 18 meters Lvl(5) GalScout + Lvl(4) Long Range Scanning = 19 meters Lvl(5) GalScout + Lvl(5) Long Range Scanning = 20 meters Lvl(5) GalScout +1 Cmp Amplifier = 29 meters Lvl(5) GalScout +2 Cmp Amplifier = 38 meters Lvl(5) GalScout +3 Cmp Amplifier = 47 meters Lvl(5) GalScout +4 Cmp Amplifier = 56 meters

Well 1 Cml Presision mod won't help you hunt scouts :D and ppl not much using basic light suits... Best solution get proto a. scanner (make some better fit for survival) & the best for cqc scout will be CreoDron Proximity Active Scanner. Even if you don't pick up enemy on radar, you can quite fast triangulate his presence or exact location, you won't see him but you will know that he is there. When you get "margin of errors" that means there is some sneaky bastard |

I can imaging a 50m or so passive scan radius would be incredibly helpful to a shotgunner. I'm going to have to give this a try, Keeriam. Though for this build, I'll likely be running proto scanners.
50m radius = 100m diameter - 360 degree unlimited by time all seeing eye EDIT: as a drawback it consumes alot of slots, making you very fragile :( |

When i just started paying Dust & using DS3 my sensetivity was 0/0 (i was unbelievably terrybad with DS3 in CBT lol). Then as i get more better & better with DS3 i raised my sensetivity, now i'm playing at 70/70 & do headshots on moving targets 400m+ away with SR or in cqc with ScrP. Drawback of DS3 is that when you drive\fly vehicles on less than 100/100 sensetivity your vehicles won't go full speed
You may go KB/M if you just play infantry mode. But on DS3 i find is much better with vehicles. |

For 2 last days i got serios fight on russian "facebook" about scouts & vid "Rise of The Scout". The guy is saying that J0LLY R0G3R have no skill & it's just some lucky moments montage. We need to defend Scouts Honor & teach that scrub what we scouts capable of when we angry & bounty hunting. He is my ex corp mate, but you can't just say such bad things about hard life of scouts & our vids
So i placing bounty for 20 kills: 200k isk for Shotgun or RE kill 500k isk for Nova Knife or Melee kill You must be in scout or light suit. Happy hunting!

My observations & test with SGs. After first shot all your next shots goes to last hit location but not all pellets. Lets say we have 12 peelets, shoot once, move\turn bit right (so you can see your previos hit location) shoot again, 11 pellets goes to last hit location & only one goes to where you aiming. Thats why we don't do dmg at all or barely scratching target (you can miss with that one pellet or hit with ***** dmg). This works always 100% for me (currently can't make vid). That means if you turn more than 90 degrees, you won't hit anything, it does "poof\fart" shot, you shooting into yourself (but you can't kill yorself ) Also that means you can kill targets around the corner uo to 90 degrees by preparing "first" shot (shoot twice for sure). Look around the corner, shoot, go back, pop out you gun just enough without exposing your body, wait for your victim moves to the edge of that corner, shoot again, laugh |

It was lvl 2 sniper rifle before Uprising, with lower reqs & stats. Thats my main weapon ^_^ bought them ALOT, no one have more than me lolol. Also In CBT there was "militia Experimental sniper rifle" if we can get it back & at proto lvl, this **** might be most trolling weapon in game lol.

321 fully charged, between 50-99% of charge lvl it does ~50% dmg, can't tell for sure if it does lets say 75% dmg at 75% charge lvl without recording vid. Most good players you can OHK only in head, but you need x2-3 dmg complex modules to do that & they won't stay still :)

I recomend you a gallente scout with maxed scan range skill & hp modules. Can't tell you how many times my ass was saved only by picking up enemy behind me or ability to see passively up to 50+ meters around you, without triggering states like "you have been scanned" or "scan atempt prevented".
Since 1.4 i maxed hp modules, now my proto scout can have 160 shields & 756 armor, so you can snipe anywere on the map, take dmg & stay alive. Yesterday was sniping inside gallente com. outpost (domi mode) with gk.0 (916hp) + TAR-07, dueling 100-150m away 2 heavys & 3 assaults in "gate entry". Me + FGunner killed tank & 2 LAVs (got 75wp for tank assist lol) & i personally killed 4-5 of invaders before rest of our team come to help us. They chewed trough half of my hp but i survived + i have compact nanohive (best friend of a sniper scout). |

K2 Nanohive or basic Nanohive (depends on light weapon) Locus Grenade Toxin' ICD-9 SmG Scrambler Rifle or Lazer Rifle & surprise it can fit Balac with light weapon operations 5 + basic nanohive.
Advantages: 1 - most tanked scout in the game (including Caldari & Amarr scouts) due to 160 shields, 459 armor & 12.5 armor rep per sec. 2 - immunity to adv. scanners 3 - largest passive scan range 4 - it will be most annoying person to kill on the battlefield, after a while 1/3 of enemy team will hunt only you lol
Tactics: Choose weapon depending on map. Mid to long range, keep distance from enemy, surprise cqc attacks. Good for defending objectives.
Warning: Watch out for Viziam lazors at long range & proto ar closer than 50m, don't fit ferro plates.
Constantly ending matches 10-15\0 in most battles solo. Was playing about 2 days ago with scout squad including Shotty GoBang with amazing results. Best was 21\0 & 28\3 with 571k isk payout! But 30-50% of kills was from OB stikes |

So... with maxed skills gallente scout will have 36m scan range now (24 for minmatar)... + every cmplx range mod will give me 16.2m range.

yeah, but back in beta\chromosome scout suit has no skill bonus & range skill where giving only 5% per lvl = 25 +6.25 = 31.25 and scout vk.0 has only 3 low slots
so now gallente scout has even more than in beta/chromosome & 4 slots on proto suit that's 31.25 < 36 & 3 low slots < 4 low slots |

I see some ppl have problems staying with positive wallet, so here some scout tips from Keeriam : Dust payout mechanics seems including dmg efficiency with weapon you using in battle, by that i mean it's headshot multiplier & overkill dmg. Headshot overkills more preferable, regular overkill like RE, nade kill, body shots etc not affecting that much.
1 - Destroying dropsuit will give you something about 20% of it's fitting cost (tasty proto FGners ). 2 - When you kill someone, make sure you terminated clone (killing is not enough). There seems to be extra payout for destroying clone (even if not you killed him). 3 - Kill assists give's you extra payout as well. So help to kill literaly EVERYTHING (tho there is no more kill assists in 1.7 for vehicles with light weapons). But if you hit driver or passanger on LAV or DS you will get kill assist. 4 - Destroy every equipment you see & can reach.
So, target more expensive suits, overkill it with headshot (as much as possible), kill assists (especialy for instalations), clone termination. Even if you will be the last on leaderboard endmatch screen (by kills & WPs), your payout can be alot more than 1-st place badass dude (tested, comfirmed in squad play, even with HAV drivers). Like this (old foto, i'll make new one if someone need proof with more stats) - that was ambush mode, i sniped (headshoted) 8 proto FGners, only 8 kills...

Gallente/Caldari Scout in a tank with maxed range/precision. Does the suit range/precision effect vehicles? Cal Scout with 17 precision and 75m range would make for a really nice blaster tank suit.
I don't know how vehicles work I don't ever use them but just wondering will this work?
