I would really like to just have one suit and one weapon skilled.... It's gonna really mess with my OCD to have two suits skilled and only be able to use 1 at any given time. Not sure I'll be able to go medium without a respec.
The only exception would be whatever suits I need to skill up to get future faction/pirate gear.....
BTW - I have a proto Gallente logi alt with a fully spec'd out AR, and it is super bad-ass..... I mean, super with a capital ******* "S". But, I'm sure you know that already.

I'm good with cloaking being either EQ or an active module in the light weapon slot. I would prefer that scouts (and all suits) retain their current weapon slot configuration, as opposed to giving scouts 1L and 2S weapons in order to use the cloak in the light weapon slot. I think that would be pretty nice to have 3 weapons, but seems like it would be a bit much, especially if scouts were to be the only class with the ability to walk with the cloak active. I mean, mobility with invisibility, coupled with the fact that most suits will not be able to detect you due to the superior scout dampening is already a very big scout-only benefit. I mean, let's face it - a stationary cloaked medium or heavy frame (without a light weapon!) is a scout plaything / chewtoy. We could sneak up and execute all kinds of these fools.... they'd be making it easy unless they were running dampeners....
My only problem with Cloaking being an equipment or in the light weapon slot is that it will make it more difficult to expand upon the scout in the future. When CCP finally gets around to implementing E-War stuff, they are going to look at how they implemented the Cloak and just do the same thing for E-War. We only have one light weapon slot and we only have one equipment slot (and even if we got more, Logis would still have more cpu/pg to more easily use them). Regardless of which of the two CCP goes with, Scouts would lose opportunities to become more versatile and more viable.
Sure, CCP could change how the Cloak is implemented later, but the probability of them actually going through with it is low. It's harder to change something you've done than change how you plan to implement it.
I'd rather wait for Cloaking to be implemented in a way that won't hinder the scout's ability to expand than to get Cloaking now and be denied opportunities later. There are other buffs the scout could get aside from Cloaking to make us a more enjoyable and more viable role in the mean time. |

I have ADV Min Basic frames. They kinda rule. I can run 300 shields, 170 armor, sprint at 8.5, with almost 300 stamina AND use a shotgun. You get scanned all the time, but it rules as an Upfront, in your face playstyle.

I've been using them for a while now, before the update I was using just basic/MLT dmg mod on my knife and can kill some people with it, but now, I cant even kill a light /med frame that were hacking most of the time unless I swiped them more than once. The only thing I've noticed is that the blue shields dont flicker when I hit someone that often anymore.
Name Chode was from the show tripping the rift... at that time i thought it was hilarious to use it as a name. >_<

I've already got ADV minnie basic, so I'm not wasting more SP. and I've already gt DMG mods & maxed shield extenders. also, those 2 lows are fun to put armor reps or speed mods in .

Yeah they broke them more with this "fix." Supposedly they will be getting hotfixed soon.

Yeah, I kinda already have everything else. 17 million SP into Dropsuit Upgrades skill tree. 1 proto suits, 2 advance suits. 7 proto weapons. Until more weapons come out I can't get any new ones. The only thing I have left to branch off into are new suits

Seriously. I am going Gal Logi for 3 reasons: In PC I am mostly an uplink *****. If I'm not uplink spamming I'm doing some ninja hacks. I can replicate my ninja suit with the Gallente Logi, only I get 2 extra high slots, 3 extra equipment slots, and 5hp/s reps. Secondly 3 high slots is enough -barely- to snipe with and increasing my Sniper HP by 400 too :p
The third reason is because I'll I've done since joining hellstorm in late May was copy Marauder's shotgun build.
I even replicated his shotgun build on my 'Templar' Assault A-1. It was devastating to have the same HP, same Stamina, same speed as my proto shotgun fit. I need to do something different

But I only have lvl 3 'hives so I can't rep myself. 3 complex plates + an enhanced plate. 729 armor. Going slower helps SG hit detection ;_; Though I only blue-shielded once with my 10.01 m/s suit today

Still getting a feel for new and improved hit detection, both mine and theirs. Initially found myself dealing damage too slowly and taking damage too quickly. Still burning through Isk, but I feel I'm making progress.
Initially tested the 1.6 water in an Advanced Gallente Scout (2 shields, 1 kincat, 1 repper) running low-end weapons (std shotgun, std smg). The Standard Shotgun doesn't hit hard enough or far enough to work on this build. Found good odds against other Scouts, Heavies, unskilled Mediums, and Mediums in standard or militia gear. But once under fire, mediums with half-decent HP and gungame bounce quickly and ever-so-slightly out of optimal range. Very little I could do about it with a 0.3 second TTK vs EZ Mode weapons. My heart goes out to our Advanced Shotgun Scouts; we've chosen the path of Hard Mode, but you guys are up against unreasonably steep odds. Hang in there ... it gets better ...
Next, tried my luck in an up-armored proto gk.0 (2 shields, 3 plates, 1 repper) with an advanced Shotgun and M209 SMG. It's effective, but its mobility drawbacks are severe. I can survive for almost an entire second under EZ Mode fire, land more shots on target, but I'm unable to weave in and out of cover, strafe effectively, or keep my prey in optimal range. Quite sadly, I can square off face-to-face with an Advanced HMG Heavy ... and win. Total BS that I can tank HMG for a full three seconds, but can only tank AR or ScR for one second. Once again, low odds versus up-armored Mediums. While effective for the most part, this fit is more "bludgeon" than finesse and doesn't fit my playstyle. Moving on ...
Currently testing a hybrid speed/armor proto gk.0 (1 dmg amp, 2 plates, 1 repper, 1 kincat) with Proto shotgun and a Standard SMG as finisher/fallback. So far I'm liking this fit. The Creodron w/complex damage amp devastates everything I sneak up on, except of course up-armored Mediums. Still losing the occasional CQC fight vs ARs and ScRs, but that's likely going to be the case throughout 1.6. Adapting as we speak. More input to follow further experimentation ... |

I don't like the 1.5 changes to the Plasma Cannon. I loved the arc on it. now it is this awkward weapon that travels almost-straight. I don't use the Mass Driver as much as I like. Too many other weapons I'm skilled in.
I love the Flaylock. It's great for equipment destruction and for finishing off a shotgun target. Best of all is the 0 PG cost on the Core Flalock... But the 1.5 nerf made it useless for me. I used it primarily for fending off Dropships that were pestering me while sniping. It was the whole ******* reason I stayed away from Logistic suits for sniping. But without that... well you can see the points in Cal Logi, only started investing in Logi after that nerf. and I have enogh 'neo' Logistics ck.0 to never have to fully skill into the Ultimate Sniper suit. Thanks PC!
Assault Dropships are the fastest. PC is all about that tower control. We needed more pilots. new corp, don't need to fill that role anymore. I'll stick to MLT ships again.

Sure thing!
Shotgun Proficiency shaves off a fraction of second in delay between blasts. Doesn't seem like much at first glance. Until you measure how much damage an AR or ScR can do in that fraction of second.
SG Proficiency was meaningless before 1.6 due to broken hit detection. Prior to 1.6, we'd miss a high % of pellets if we didn't delay between shots. Now that HD is fixed, and we no longer have to pause between blasts, proficiency is meaningful. |

TF2 is starting to look a lot more fun to get back into, at least as a scout on that game I don't get gunned down so quick or become a bullet magnet. |

That would be awesome, as a way for us to cross the 'wide open spaces' without getting sniped.
It would be nightmare, if it isnt scout-only.
That would definitely be "Time to uninstall".

Cloak wouldn't matter to me if the hit detection still remains the same as it is right now. |
