Yea I do think amarr assault is a good place to go. It was my original build before the full respec. It was beast. Pretty slow though. Switching to it after being a scout you notice a difference.
Damn, you guys are giving out too much intel :)
I'm in the tune of 22 mil sp and every little bit is precious. There are 5 or 6 skills I want to sink sp into. I went into logi lav because I actually repped tanks and dropsuits. Ask me to follow you around some time in scout squad....talk about invulnerability. But I hope I get that sp back for 1.7.
Slightly off topic, one game I was trying to rep a friendly tank....he spent the rest of the match "trying to run me over""....it's why we can't have nice things.
The grind to 2.8 mil sp for a proto suit is tiring. I'll likely only go adv for a long time besides my trusty gal logi. Which appia is freaking expensive when filled with equipment, 250k on occasion.
I'll run as full logi some time for scout squads but I don't want to be the only guy not "scout" be aware that 175hp/s rep tool will do a lot of loving.

EVE vet, API keys were pretty much passed around the Alliance. Everyone got to see your skills. Wallet and assets were hidden though... You should also quote that text, saying it was too much.

The Equipment is either 'hives or uplinks. You won't see me specializing in repair tools or scanners, so it is already the stuff I litter around the battlefield.
I've got 3 more 'Neo' Logi gk.0 suits. Damn that has no stamina, but I can finally reproduce DJINN Pheonix's build that frustrated me to no end. all 4 proto uplinks. 2 complex kincats, 2 aur complex car regs, 1 complex codebreaker. He beat my Gallente Scout by having the second cardiac regulator and 3 more uplinks than me. This build can run from the MCC to point "A" on Skim Junction, aka the bridge map's bridge point.
I have so much stupid AUR gear from PCs

Mind telling us about your observations (tactical differences, advantages, drawbacks, etc.)? First off, its only really great at finishing off someone or getting in a suprise grenade before shooting them in the back. The greatest asset of this grenade is the 9 meter explosion radius which basically all but garantees your going to damage your target. Also you can throw it farther than the other grenades. It excels at suprising a target who is around a corner or even over a wall if you know the trajectory well enough. |

I've got a friend hat swears by the Sleeks. But he has the whole squad run them. It was always a great defense against the other team when they had the high-point. The barrage makes up for the lowered damage. I also wasn't aware it had a larger splash radius than the other grenades.

Sir Shotty!
Please add me to your killboard / registry. I have decided to put my EZ mode on standby on this character and only break out my proto logi + AR prof 2 when I need to run team support for some bizzare reason (maybe in future corp battles?). I have a pitiful 800 kills and suitably scoutly .5 something KDR (I was a 'real' logi).
Now that I have wasted all of those SPs on items I won't use much more, and have all of that useless armor skill and repper skill, I have moved on to the minmatar scout frame (L1) with no scoutly scan/range/precision skills to speak of.
Solidarity, brothers!
Oh, and I've decided to remain on hard-mode, despite my longings for medium frame kill scores and more fairness and all of my bitterness about scouts getting the shaft.
I will chose an appropriate sidearm specialty soon and be on my to bankruptcy post-haste.
This is Matticus by the way. |

Hi 8213! LUGMOS pretty much summed it up; here are the 'official' participation requirements:
Scout Registry / Killboard Participation Guidelines Last Updated: 19 Sep 2013, 20:00 (EVE)
The Scout Registry is designed to monitor the health of Uprising's standing Scout Community. Players meeting the following criteria may register via thread response:
- Have graduated from the Academy.
- Wear a Scout/Light-Frame > 50% of time in combat.
- Agree to be honest (dedicated vehicle pilots who happen to wear a Scout Suit do not qualify).
- Agree to announce your departure should you later opt-out of the Scout Suit.

When there are more than 50 people in a channel, it'll only display your name and whoever posts a message on that channel. Just type LFS or something and someone usually responds. |

Hmm... good idea, thanks! The increased run speed is nice, but without my core skills up to snuff, no scout skills, and any decent non-AR weapon skills I'm pretty squishy. This was definitely not the efficient way to go.....
I do have a caldari alt, and an amarr alt for their respective scout suits..... but without passive SP, it's probably just easier for me to spec into their respective suits on this account.... |

My third slot was commandeered by my wifeGǪ she runs an Amarr heavy i think i convinced her to try the Amarr scout when it comes out But yeah without the passive it's hard to start new. Personally though i enjoy the build from the ground up approach to get a feel for it. I have standard Min scout on this account too, but because I have so much EWAR and core built in it plays very differently than scratch built.

Scouts need to look at these two links
Scout Fixed +Racial Scouts Gong to Take Longer
But...
Heavy Frames getting something built in to define them
Which I am thinking active hardeners for heavies, meaning perhaps the list of active module abilities could become a reality for scouts, which is something I did not think was going to happen before hand. Though they really do need to create some sort of vanilla hotfix for scouts while we wait out the next 2 to 3 months, which at that point I could become a full fledged pilot with all the millions of sp I was saving for scout stuff.
In which case, perhaps we should continue adding to the list

https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=1478634#post1478634
I've also condensed my active modules because I think our active modules should mainly be defensive in nature with offensive utility.
Gallente- Cloak Active Module- Makes you walk show but if an enemy is not moving fast enough or is entrenched you can break the cloak by just shooting him.
Caldari- Mimic Active Module- makes you appear as a friendly unless somebody is scoping you or are within a certain distance
Minmatar- Adrenalin Active Module- essentially a free boost to massively pump up speed, melee/wep damage, jump height/distance
Amarr- Warp Active Module- the ability to teleport on a spot, distance based off how much stamina you can consume.

I don't like how the abilities are stuck on a suit. Should certain suits be more effective at specific active mods? Yes. But having set active mods reduces our ability to customize our scout the way we want? Is there anything wrong with me wanting a caldari scout that can hid from enemies? Is there anything wrong with me wanting an Amarr scout that can in a pinch over come its slower speed? |

I'm sure you say the first larger list that was amde, which could be exchangeable, I"m all for that, but based on a post by a IWS which they are going to "build" something into the heavy suit to define them. Meaning it could be a hardener, and if they are going to just build one thing into the scout suit it will most likely just be the cloak, I just threw out a few more options so instead of one ability so CCP could do different ones considering that the hardeners might be coming in a shield or armor variant.
But yeah, I"m just throwing out ideas, and see what people like because the scout is literally and sadly a very empty canvas, which makes it harder to build it up because the directions are endless. But at the same time I don't know how much time will be spent on scouts.
I know we got the active module aka mid slot popular but having back ups wouldn't hurt, especially smaller changes which could be implemented sooner.
