@ Pseudogenesis- Everyone has already said it well.. I would just mention lots of EVE/Dust player bases have their own sites and forums and whatnot. This is nothing new. And it won't harm Dust in the least. Any game developer would love to have the community CCP enjoys.

I understand your concern however, as this thread is a huge positive for Dust in that the players who frequent it the most are the most dedicated to seeing Dust succeed. I promise they aren't getting siren songed off this forum this is THE place to interface with Devs (CCP Ratatatti) and CPM (Cross and IWS). That won't change! However, they are welcome too

I come off as critical of dust, but I have no ill will towards it. In fact, I really want it to succeed. I hope strengthening our community and preserving the cool culture we've cultivated only serve to resolve the will CCP needs to get it done.

Not only that- but yes.. .Destiny's forums blow dogs for quarters. Literally, only one front page of our group is useful. And I think it kind of inappropriate to arrange Destiny (soon GTA online) stuff on CCPs forums, ya know? This is also a way for us to still communicate and play other games.

If a scout has no damps it should be picked up by a medium frame with a single complex precision mod.

There is no need for sauce with pudding. If it was made right all the flavors should be an inherent part of the food

Does the general experience of it count towards quality? I always find it so much tastier when I hunt it, skin it, gut it, and cook it myself all from scratch.

Hell even cooking for myself makes me feel like it tastes better than restaurants. I like to pretend I am some kind of chef lol but I am probably not as good as I think considering how biased I probably am to my own food.

Anyone know whats up with all the nerf scouts threads? I'd have thought that after all the hotfixes people would finallly be ok with them. I think we need Gav to start another nerf the heavies campaign.

At first glance, this sounds reasonable. To me, at least.

But having looked into the numbers, satisfying this request would require a massive buff to Assault Precision (50dB --> 38 dB), a massive nerf to Scout Profile (35 dB --> 42 dB) or some combination of the two. If we did this, we'd end up creating new problems at the low end of the dB spectrum, where dampened Scouts will find themselves getting scanned regardless of how many dampeners they stack. If the past is any indication, precision beating profile at the low-end of the spectrum leads to EWAR imbalance.

So how can we address the high-end of the spectrum (where "assault lite" lives) without disrupting balance at the low-end of the spectrum?

I'm wondering how a buff to the 28 dB scanners might play out ... not so much for GA Logis, but for the other guys (like Assault or Commando) who are demanding the ability to scan undampened Scouts. Working out the math ...

The undampened GA/CA Scout Profile is 27 dB uncloaked, 25 dB adv cloaked and 24 dB proto cloaked. If the 28 dB scanner were buffed to 24 dB, it would scan single-damped MN and AM Scouts. Not good. If it were buffed to 25 dB, it would not scan single-damped scouts (unless wielded by the counter-recon specialist GA Logi) ...

A 25 dB proto scanner would scan at 19 dB when wielded by a GA Logi. This would paint all single-damped (dodged by GA/CA if proto cloaked) but would not paint any double-damped Scouts.

This seems reasonable to me. It'd satisfy the demand to curb undampened Scouts without mucking up competitive EWAR. What do you guys think?

I'm of the same mind. The only real condiment I tolerate is mustard. And even then it has to be the real deal.. mad seeds and all.

I have collected a pretty nice spice cabinet.. farmer's markets are gold mines for that. And to me that goes way further with cooking than premade sauces.

Grow my own spices, and supplement what i can't grow through the farmers market
