The fitting penalty is just "If scout then plate PG/CPU cost multiplied with (100%+fitting penalty %)"

Thanks for the clarification. If it was for Armor plates only, and not for ferro scale or reactive, then I'm all for it. I still think the assault scout is a legitimate play-style and I'd hate to see it disapear, but removing or limiting complex armor plates should be enough to make a difference. Ferro and reactive should always be viable for scouts.

I really disfavor punitive actions like increasing the fitting penalty. The versatility of the game and having freedom of fitting options is and should remain a founding base of the game, there need to be more reasons to run the other modules instead of punishing people for wanting combat fits

That's why I'd like all Racial suits should have the same base movement speed and the roles should have different sprint modifiers. it would make the plates affect strafing equally across all roles and you'd feel the penalty to sprint harder on Scouts than the others. Cal Scouts are so prevalent I was using the AScR in PC for a while... then I got prof 3 AR because of hotfix Bravo. . . it's like those days from closed beta. the AR is a weapon to be feared again. I can come up with all kinds of lore reasons why a scout couldn't brick tank, or a heavy can't use sidearms because of fat fingers. I do not want to restrict options like Sentinels can only fit Heavy Weapons, but I do want to balance the game so all roles and dropsuits can flourish.
