So if I wanted to create an AV suit with swarms (assuming they get buffed into usefulness) and a magsec, which scout do you think would be the best for AV?
I'm thinking the Amarr at this point so I can have 2x damage mods and use 2 or 3 lows for kincats which when combined with their bonus (if it gets a buff) would make an incredibly mobile scout.

don;t forget the base hack speed bonus. 5% faster on Gallente, Caldari and Amarr, 10% faster on Minmatar. So you use a Republic or Neo M-1 Scout you'll hack faster than an other suits.

Gallente Scout looks beastly.
Was hoping for a better bonus than the Nova but all in all we got alot of stuff. I can leave the call for Minmatar equality for a few months down the line if we are the lesser of the scouts.

Agreed. "Over Powered" implies a benchmark. At this time, we have no benchmark.
This is why I say we should see it in battle first ... so we can measure these changes against the changes to other suits and account for any mechanical tweaks / engine improvements (which always seem to slap us around).

Yes, you heard me. I did not rush in there and take them on head on. Apparently that is what "Real Nova Knifers" do.
So, I shoot back in the chat channel a very simple question. "WHY THE HELL WOULD I FIGHT YOU HEAD ON?"
If flanking and knowing what fights I should run away from makes me a b****, then I will gladly stay one. I just have no idea why someone would get so mad at refusing to fight a battle where I would be at a clear disadvantage. That's just not smart tactics.
TL;DR Flako called me a b**** for refusing to fight his squad head on. I reply asking why the hell I should fight people head on in a scout suit. Am I a b****? Or is Flako just angry at getting knifed two or three times in a match. Help me out here, cause I feel like I have done nothing wrong here.
Yeah, I saw his little rampage in chat yesterday ...

Yeah, I look at these stats and sorta ... lose my mind. But ... it's all proportionate. Those heavies are going to be really, really nasty when 1.8 drops, so I don't think we can worry about being OP til we see how all of this fits together.
Heck, some guys are already OP in the current scout suits...
That said ... I really like these proposed changes. |

Yeah, I've had it happen a couple of times, too. Once, I was lucky enough that when the guy switched to his gun, I was already close enough to end him with my knives...
The other time? I wasn't so lucky...
I got him with an RE before the match was over, but still ... if you carry the knives, you should know the code. |

I am too scared to knife fight. I usually only knife unsuspecting foes and many times I just use my CR if I think they are about to move. Its why if we get a respec I will only go to Lv3
I never go knife to gun before an engagement though I have knifed med / heavies and then finished them off with my rifle.
