I believe I owe you an apology. Ran a LR for the first time today on my trusty AM Commando. It was beautiful. It's also easier to fit than ScR + ASCR. Stil think ScR + ASCR is an exceptional combo for close-to-mid range combat, but I fully intend to mix in some LR. Adds more reach to my wreck-face radius. Can't wait to level the thing up.

To be fair I have a Scr/LR fit for certain maps and situations. Because One FIT is never the answer in DustGǪ or at least it never should be.

To be honest, I'm not a fan of that idea. I don't think the scrambler charged shot should be nerfed. If it's going to be nerfed, I'd rather see the rapid fire nerfed instead.
Whilst it would make the ion pistol better, I like the feel of it exploding in your hand after a charged blast. Reminds me of the noisy cricket from Men in Black. The reason I don't charge it much is because I'm not very practiced with it. You kind of have to finish people if you are going to charge shot. If it needs a buff, just buff the damage.
Edit: Part of the reason I said that as well, was because I think some people rely too heavily on the ion charged shot. I know I sometimes find myself doing it. The gun performs very well without charging, so long as you are at the correct range. |

I don't really se it as a nerd to the ScR, just a shift in use. Right now I can open with a charge and blap off four more shots (Without an Am Ass) With this change I'd still be able to do that just in reverse. However with the Ion, I'd be able to open with a charge and finish them while they are panicked from the punch. Ion has a lot more dispersion than the ScR (Like it actually has dispersionGǪ ScR only pretends to have it), so it's not going to be a be all end all combat monster under these changes. Seems to have a more eloquent CQC mechanic as well.

I charge only when they don't know I am there and I estimate that they will be one shotted and I have a good escape routeGǪ so not often

I love irish coddle, even though it has rashers in it. But, that is the only exception i make when it comes to bacon, turkey bacon don't count because it is turkey. I may make one small exception, but the community has tucked in it's fatback and put it in tight. Anyone against taco, will be burned and made into bacon, and devoured by Chuck Mangione.
