So, part way through the podcast at the moment. Ratatti just said (if I understand correctly) short range scans should beat 2 damp scouts with 3 precision mods. However, studying the scan table it appears an assault or logi will only need 1 precision mod to scan a Gallente scout with 2 damps at short range.
A 3 precision mod requirement would be more reasonable, especially if the range was increased. However I am not necessarily against the current proposal based of what Rattati says later on about everyone having a kind of absolute immediate area scan. Adding an element of extra risk to being a scout might return some of our former respect. |

I got tired of the lag.
Never had another game with such bad lag I couldn't play. Would constantly see kill cams of me dying without firing a shot while I know I loaded ten or more rounds in the guy. Happened with every CoD iteration, and I couldn't take it anymore.
Battlefield was fun, but I hated being base raped, which is worse than being redlined.
Still searching for the least boring/aggravating FPS.

I would save it...an OB is easy to get (warbage strike) if you actually are trying for points. I squadded up with a commando ak.0 that was using a combat rifle and mass driver...he scored 1500 with me above 3600! Funnest match! Of course I tried with my amarr sentinel but he sucked at logi lol
These will be spammed none-the-less but at least some of us are smart enough to save our points...?

I don't think the system works on saving points.
I think it's just "Get X strike after X points"
Then again, we've never had options. It may actually be a "Spending" system.

Its best I don't get started on the worthlessness of the cloak now. I took it off my fits too. I die a little more often, but not much more than the cloak caused, but I have much less frustration.

We are already seeing more non-Minja knifers after the damage and other buffs...

And since the new scan falloff ranges completely destroyed one of my favourite fittings (Minmatar Sentinel + KinCats) I think it is now time to destroy someone else's toys as well.

But it's true, my "HMG Delivery Service" fitting is useless now. 
I'm sure there are other ways to balance Heavies VS everyone else other than giving people wallhacks. Other games can do it, DUST can do it too (it will just take some time, lol).
The visibility duration reduction won't help Sentinels too much. Plus I think that scans should be a tool to find people, have a rough estimate of their location, and not a tool to easily outplay people because you can see their every step.
