Wow, a lot of crappy people in factional.
I can run a scout sniper, make suicide runs for objectives, hack and die or kill off an unlucky guy who gets to see "killed by toxin", drop a few uplinks, and score near the top of the list.
Sadly, the rest of the blues are huddled around giving each other back rubs or something and don't bother coming out of hiding until they see some crazy fool running around actually doing something. |

I thought that match was a FW battle ... either way, it was fun fighting against you and Outlaw Zero :-) Yeah, that was the dreaded Wiki-Haha fit. Swarm Proficiency is well-worth the investment.
Tap tells me I should be running a medium-frame to pop tanks. I only have one high slot, so beefy tanks and dropships tend to get away before I can smash them. |

Yeah, I run a minnie Med frame and stack damage mods. Combine with ADV Swarm and Assault SMG for best results. |

Rough going out there for me today. Unlocked the lv.2 Gallente scout suit and tried to play in my customary "lurk in the shadows and shotgun-to-the-head unsuspecting Reds"; it didn't go very well. I'm fine with one or two reds trying to enter my web, but damn, these squads in FW lately have been running rampant. Not a good feeling to see the radar light up with five or six reds approaching! That said, I try to stay hidden as long as possible and hope to catch a few them in an RE blast, then hope for the best as the rest come after me. Obviously, some maps are much better for practicing this style than others...
Oh, and let's not forget when my team fell by the wayside as the reds pushed towards our one objective, and I was suddenly dealing with two or three infantry closing in from in front and each side, and two very angry tanks with blaster turrets beelining right for me. Next time, at least offer some Vaseline!!! |

That's what I get for going alone....wait, no, the team just sucks! In one game fusion commander, snipeumall and his corp saved the day and we won.
I'm going to take a personal break from the game. I need to get my head straight. I'll try and get 1 match per day but I'll be going solo from now on. I'll be popping up here and there in this scout community. You guys make this game interesting. Don't get too frustrated, I hope the game gets better.
Some of you scouts should get nerfed lol jk We are scouts! <--I had to put the bear. |

The 6v6 scout squad would dominate in city maps.
But the open maps would be a slaughter for us.
I'm a bit interested however I feel inclined to first ask who would be on it. That is, of ppl are interested. |

At least you aren't getting blue dots that act more like lemmings. Have had 3 battles today where we would have won bit lost via clones. Most blue dots had 15 or more deaths.....with <100WP.
Im not sure about tourney matches....it always seems to be a huge cluster storm. |

We should really try to get the A-Team though. Problem is, most of the A-Team scouts play for corps, and we can't be on two teams |

I would be up for it. I think 6 scouts could really do some damage in dom with no vehicles. |

As much fun as a 6 scout squad sounds, wouldn't a team of 3 scouts and 3 logis do better? The scouts could rush the objective, throw down an uplink or two to let the logis spawn at the objective, and quickly hack the objective. Then you have logis there to help increase your squad's survivability with reps, nanos, injectors, etc.. |

Yeah, you just described the first two matches of FW I was in yesterday. Stopped doing that, went into pubs and had a lot more fun. Squads are more necessary than ever in FW this week... |

hihihihihi. Planing out tactics for a hypothetical Scout squad on a 6v6 Dom. Probably won't be playing on any of the old maps. Which is going to be dreadful for Scouts. All the null cannon consoles are over 300m away from the starting spawn points. That gives the best advantage to anyone with Systems Hacking V, Kinetic Catalyzation V, Cardiac Regulation 5, and a Gallente Logistics Suit. (so maybe I should save up SP for the whole month just to get a few 'Neo' Gallente Logistics suits?)
Spent way too many pub-match Dominations on Spine Crescent to watch DJINN Phoenix outrun my Scout in his Logistics suit. The newer maps are even worse as far as distance traveled. Logis will win that endurance race.
But, if it is on an old map it is very advantageous to us. Save for Manus Peak, which is just horrible. Those of us that have the SP for versitality in multiple prototype light weapons and multiple prototype suits would be best. While watching out for Duvolle/Balac's AR and Mass Driver spam would be a tactical priority.
Saddly, I have not played with Ghost Kaisar and don't know your strengths and weaknesses. I do know mine and the 3 people I hope to get on board. 2 have already posted "maybe" here :) |

Play with me then
I mainly run Knives/SMG with Scanner or Remotes as I see fit.
I can also run shotguns/flaylock.
I'm pretty much an decent all around player.
When I run with Shotty and a few others in a scout squad, I generally go do much better, and get into the top 6 in the scoreboard. |

Sure!
1) Create a few alts for storing contacts. The larger your contact list gets, the more buggy it becomes ... 75 is a "safe" upper limit for each alt.
2) For your initial list, scour the Forums for anyone asking for Heavy buffs. Join in-game channels for Heavies. Ask your buddies who the Heavies are in their respective corps. This will serve as your initial list.
3) Populate your contacts with your initial list, logging their stats as you go. I recommend using Excel to log your data ... functions make for easy copy/paste updates.
4) Post your results in a thread. Those who you've missed will eventually post. Try to update once or twice a week to keep your killcounts as close to current as possible. |
