Any news on 1.9? Or Hotfix Echo? Dev post seems to be about "balancing hotfix"... did they stop labeling them for some reason?
balancing hotfix is a mini alteration outside of the normal hotfix cycle, thus no name hotfix Echo is still planned, slated for likely deployment post 1.9 1.9 is still incoming, likely deployment is during the long downtime of TQ for the EVE patch, sometime first week of Nov (the fourth, sixth? anyway conventional wisdom holds it's something like that)
See a cool idea thread? Mail me the title and I'll take a look =)

After playing Destiny last night, and getting Vex Mythoclast, Atheon's Epilogue, Vision of Confluence, and the TimeBreaker sparrow, I was really excited. It also got me thinking, Aside from the Balac's Sniper and Balac's SMG, at Uprising 1.0 we had 8 officer weapons that could drop. I don't know if they can be salvaged, but the 12 player-flavored weapons exist. And the Sidearm Event will give us another 7.
Still, I haven't gotten an officer weapon in months. I'm lucky to get an officer weapon drop (which could be 1, 2, or 3 single use items) every other month.
And it's completely random. Most people are inclined to believe that having a weapon with proficiency 3 actually lowers your chance of getting that one. Don't have 20 million SP invested into weaponry? Too ******* bad.
The drop rate really needs to be bumped up to something like 5%.
The Officer weapons were never really worth it in PC. They were too few to use when in that game mode your average life is so short. I know they were used in the Corp and Squad cups last year, but outisde the sniper rifle's performance being so ******* terrible that the weapon was worthless in the game without the officer variant, they just weren't used for high-end battles.
Having them be achievable at a reasonable occurrence might make them less pub-stomping tools and more inclined to use them in PC/FW.
But, meh, whatever. I'll just go troll people with my Balac's AR and Gastun's HMG in Domination.

List of pets that I want to have someday: Raven (illegal, will settle for crow) Fox; fennec fox (too expensive), red fox (not indoor pets, requires a $26USD a year for permit) Cats (want 2, no more than 3, I'm crazy enough as it is); Bengal Cat, Savannah Cat, pure black cat. (cats must be male and neutered, as those make the friendliest kitties)
My friend has connections to some fox breeders. They have told me that the foxes bread by their contacts don't make the best pets. Basically you buy them for the same reason people keep cats on farms: to chase away/eat little pests living on your property. Still, if you get one young enough they can grow to like their owner.

The ship combat in Assassins Creed Black Flag was actually really good. I'm not much of a AC fan, haven't played it since Brotherhood. But rolling up on a Spanish Frigate, blowing the crap out of each other, then pulling up to board, climbing up into the masts while your men swing across, jumping over, killing their riflemen in the crows nests, and then dropping down to plunge both swords through the captain. It was pretty damn fun.
It was genuinely annoying when I had to come on land to do story missions.

Manipulating market sales data willget you guys nowhere :)
The Assault buff was more than enough, and they don't need anything right now. Many players even swear by the CA/GA assault bonuses so wary of changing them, maybe just buffing the number. Gallente Assault is the worst right noe, but dropsuits often suffer when their primary suffers, such as sentinel until hmg was buffed.
Commandos as lone wolves and high ehp can use a little buff, so high native reps fit well
Logis need a little buff, and I think it makes a lot of sense to give them higher native reps than assaults, "who heals the healer?", unless armor hiving himself, noone. I don't think Assaults having less than Logis is at all stupid.
Combining MM/AM was necessary to make the progression not too steep. And the arguments (hybrid vs armor, both had a point so making them equal is also fair). A lot of fuss over something that will not matter much to 90% of the playerbase. Native rep should imo have been the same for all races from day 1. Again built in bonuses are not good, EWAR should be efficacy as well.
Gallente may end up getting a 0.5 or 1.0 on Monday, but I also saw this as an opportunity to debuff the GA scout a little. Overall the racial bonus should be approximately a single modules worth, so basic rep mod or so. I am exploring efficacy but it's a huge change.
Scouts are not getting nerfed as a class, but Cloak as you know is getting nerfed. No matter how many scout threads in GD. It would be good to hear thoughts on sentinels, because I believe the proliferation of scouts in PC is a symptom to sentinel/hmg spam, and pretty much RE or shotgun is the only hard counter. Assaults are coming back slowly into PC though.
And for the love of god, Slayer Logis...are not a problem, nor are they likely to become a problem with these changes.
ASCR is not competitive, one of the worst Rifles atm, ARR needs a buff too.
2 grenades is not an option because of the single button grenade throw, no way to switch grenades (at least not right now)
For boats we need water
Finally, a question, opening up the Assault and Breach variants at Standard, plus lowering their prices, is there any reason not to? I would welcome the diversity and maybe prefit the logi (Medic) starter fits with them.

The only reason I can think of is that "it rewards people for spending SP to get the variants" but I have always been one to say that there should be Basic versions of the variations. I think it would be a great change. It will also go a long way to see if something is over or underpowered.
There being more regular Plasma Rifles being bought right now then Breach Plasma Rifles makes sense because APR is Standard. If there was a Standard BPR the numbers would be more obvious.
Also, is the Assault Rifle going to get the name Plasma Rifle or at least a rename? Considering "Assault Rifle" is also Assault Combat and Rail Rifle it would work out a little easier to rename the AR

Damn that was thorough And informative Agree that the Gal rep needed a drop Not saying Slayer Logis are a problemGǪ but their was a time when a Logi could be a better choice for both Assault and ScoutingGǪ it was long ago. Honestly had no idea how well the Assault is doing. ASCR needs a buff, but what about the changes to the regular ScR? is that for unification or are they also worse after the last changes? Personally never found the ScR to under perform, but had not used it after Delta hitGǪ so I really can't say much, more curiosity. On EfficacyGǪ Are we talking Suit Bonuses, Passive Skill bonus, or both? Thought we established that for boats we need wine Assault and Breach variants at standard is something that many have wanted for some time. If they are balanced I can't see an issue with putting them on the Medic Fit, gives the opportunity for everybody to try them out.

Yessss, that would be great. I think the medic should have the breach variants if available. . . because high impact, low rate of fire make great CQC style weapons. Oh shoot! I forgot, since 1.7 we've gone in the opposite direction of that. Just because they are better at cqc doesn't mean they have low range, high DPS. . . Assault variants all around!

This is 100% correct. When you have three sentinels on a point with a logi, the only way to kill them is to spam sentinels right back at them, or with an RE. The reason assaults aren't used that frequently in pc is because of the maps. The majority of fighting is in cqc where shotguns and hmgs thrive.

I strongly disagree with the notion of giving Logis higher native armor reps. Logistics are not supposed to be able to take a lot of damage, and the net result will be longer surviving logistics which impacts the entire team as a whole due to longer surviving support etc. (always having repairs, revives & nanohives)
If a Logistics wants to live longer then they need to bring armor repair nanohives or simply stay away from the frontlines. Assaults need to be able to get in and get out effectively, and if Logistics can repair faster than they can, then I foresee another rise of Slayer Logistics. Assaults might do the "slaying" job more effectively but survivability is key. If two players of equal skill get into a fight and both retreat at the same time, the first person to get repairs will eventually win out.
And if a Logistics makes a mistake and takes enough damage to warrant NEEDING higher reps then in my opinion they should be punished by dying. If they're allowed to back up out of the fight and be full health incredibly quickly then it gives the same sort of result as not dying at all.
The other team will be heavily invested in taking out the Logistics, who will be able to sustain damage and heal it up at surprisingly effective rates. While their armor naturally heals itself they can continue supporting their team without consequence. Assaults are borderline useless while they're at low health. Especially if you're something that focuses on armor tanking.
