Exactly this. We pull the trigger if Rattati says " tanky Scouts are OP". Even then I'm not sure that's justification to have extra penalties on scouts just because scouts. If you want to keep consistency you'd then have to give Ewar mods penalties when fitted on heavy suits. Arguments could be made that the value of a plate on a Scout far outweighs the value of a Dampener or Precision Enhancer on a Heavy. While a Scout is readily able to double his HP, is a Heavy ever able to half his Scan Profile?
You haven;t run into a dampened heavy in a while, have you? 2x complex damapeners brings it down to 32. If you don't have a Gal/Amarr scout in your squad they can sneak up on you. . . with a Burst HMG.

Scouts need 2 (Gallente anyway) complex plates to double his base hp. Now granted, that second one will put you a bit over the x2 hp. But it's close than you think.
If scouts shouldn't get as much benefit from using plates because they shouldn't have health and the other frames should, why should heavy's get a greater profile (in hard numbers) reduction than a scout does when using a module in the domain of the scout?

I am still in favour of having to manually decloak before you can switch weapons.
The thing is, if something is done to the cloak it will still do its job of giving scouts an easier than otherwise way of getting into position. Once you are in position you rarely need the cloak to be effective as a scout, it is a neat tool to have but not one that is an absolute necessity. So doing something to the cloak would probably only make a temporary dent in performance until scouts learn to compensate.
I am very interested in the CPM members POVs on how to go about hampering the over performance in pub matches of Scout + Cloak + Shotgun / Knives. |

I am sure if you asked you would get many different answers. I'd still say the Breach FlaylockGǪ only because the missile speed needs a slight tweak up. currently you can't get the second shot off until a little after the first one explodes. This invalidates the small clip size, lowers the benefit of Rapid Reload, and because it does not OHK leaves you very exposed after that shot.
