The hardener lasts for 24 seconds on the MLT. That's more then enough time to get from any 1 point on the map to another point. Activating it before you are damaged should be the point of it. Not to use it in a reactionary way.

Road Kill is a ******* bullshit mechanic and needs to be stopped.

it's pretty hard to run a heavy over unless you are cooking at top speed. And even then, a lot of times it brushes them aside and just deals some damage. Same for other suits.


To road kill someone you either have to hit them on a straight run, short run with nitrous, or pinning them betweeen the LAV and another object.

all valid reasons to die by roadkill.

What they need to do is slow the LAVs down by passenger weight.

As for knifing, I get my first level of Min Scout tonight.... finally got the XP I needed for L3 Min Lightframe last night. Nova knives still only lingering at L4 (but I got those 80 fleshreavers from the Shinobi event). I think I will go L3 Min Scout, KN L5 then back to Min scout.....

I will definitely need to try out that fit you posted Mollerz.... max damage is hard to beat.

If your core skills are maxed, the M-1 is totally doable. And it can be fun to run around in. Lv2 and 3 will come pretty quickly. It's lv 4 where the pain begins.And level 5.. talk about an uphill.


I would do knives 5 after LV 1 minja so you could roll with ishnoks. Zn-28 in todays landscape are for fully skilled suicide runs really. Also it would be quick work to put lv1-2 knife proficiency on. You'll want that at level five for sure.

the above fit is, IMHO, what a minja should be. I would replace one of the dam mods with an extender but I'm off by 1 PG, and until charlie drops, there's no way to overcome it.

That suit is meant to be a slasher. I want to try it on a proto sentinel because they've been giving me problems lately. I've been rolling with a shotgun.. and some of them take 5-6 shots. ******* silly.

I think I will take your advice and go for for L5 knives after L1 Min Scout. It would be great to have that off the to-do list as well.

I am not used to rolling with the speed/shields though. Recently practicing with the light frame, I tend to go Extender/Precision. Damp/Range. I guess I've been Gallente for too long. I think I need to practice going after the higher value/easier to detect targets now, and use speed instead of stealth to infiltrate and murderate.

check out war thunder. Its pretty awesome.. epic battles for sure.

Be warned tho- you have to figure out their UI. It's pretty ******* bad.. but only because it's a direct port of their PC product (looks coldly at saberouge) they did quickly. So pro tip= you can use the middle touch pad like a mini laptop touchpad. it sucks, but they are working on the UI conversion.

That being said- it took me two solid hours to figure out how to make the flight controls work the way I wanted for flight. That' snot even talking about tanks.. but tanks was easier.

Once you get your flight controls down, the game really opens up.\


edit- Also I am getting my knifing in now before it changes. I am quite concerned they will **** it up.

If you haven't played Warthunder give it a try. Doing dive bombing runs at an AA gun while you've got a fighter on your tail is pretty epic.

Though matchmaking was borked, you can't run with people a higher level than you or you get wrecked.

When I'm knifing I tend to go double damps + precision/damage and an SMG as side arm. With max biotics you should be fairly fast regardless, and I'd prefer to stay of the radar and stalk targets.

Is it just me, or are there more knifers on the field these days? Had a match last night with three knifers other than me (normally I'm the only one), and all on the red team. Managed to get two knife fights out of it. I'm pretty sure one of them was only running knives, which is always good to see

On the other hand, I went for the lolz and went Toxin AR, STD Knives, nothing else and got 5 kills in a row earlier, against scouts.
that totally didn't happen by accident when I got pulled into a match before I could finish making a new fitting

at 3500 ISK, not that much risk.
What I really didn;t like was that I ran into a Min-Scout, a Cal-Scout, and a Gal-Scout because we had raced to a point in skirmish. The Minnie wasn't running a knife so I waited a bit for him to switch but he just kept shooting at me so I had to gun him down. The cal-scout just stood there staring at me inside a null cannon, confused why the min-scout's HP bad went from blue to red until he found a blade at his throat, and the gal scout didn't really know what was coming.

Yeah, a Laser Rifle for a Shotgun and a Toxin for an Exile.

Remember those are shield values. So even at 5m good luck killing anything with more than 500 armor. The only thing the shotgu.n is good for is cal suits, that's about it,
