So I just found the Alpha hot patch numbers and.......really? Gallente scout gets 1% Range bonus but Caldari gets 3%? I'm all for disparity and all but IDK; Precision and Range effect the same thing: How well you can scan. The Galscout could scan far but really you have to put effort into it to make it scan well I.E. range amps and precision enhancers.
I'm not bitching that scouts didn't need the nerf...but we didn't need the eWar nerf. I'm not convinced with CCP's explanation that it was to make it either Cloak or dampened. Really something should've been done about HP ceiling and methods in place to persuade regen tanking on scouts over HP tanking. I love the cloak changes though I think they weren't too hard but definitely not soft I like it.

As for the Overheat: It won't. CCP just needs to nerf backpedal/backstrafe speeds.
Either that or give us a lunge (Knowing how CCP codes though...)
As for hunting the weak spot:

They really do need to just create Small, Medium, and Large Tanking mods like in EVE.
Yeah, you can cram a Tank mod a size larger, but it's SO much harder to fit.
Create sized mods for the suits and scale PG and CPU accordingly.
But alas...Client side update....

We tried, Bojo. We're the only class ever to step up and say "Yes! Our sh!t is FoTM; please help us fix it; here are our ideas on how to nerf us."
And what did we get? We got played by the Forum Famous: Yes, Rattati. Listen to the Scouts. All those nerfs. Very good ... Hey! While you're at it, why not add these extra little nerfs.
We all weighed in, but in the end Zatara steered Rattati. The little punk had the b*lls to tell us we were wrong and the dumbluck to convince Rattati that he was right. So if you don't like something about Hotfix Alpha, do what I do.
Blame it on Zatara Rought.

REEAAALLLLY excited for the burst AR again. Also somewhat concerned about rifle range changes. The whole reason for prototype was the extra range. Now moving up to prototype isn't really worth it; hardly worth it before.
Didn't see anything related to dropship efficiency changes.
@Ghost, that fit is pretty fun to run around with, I never skilled into flaylock so I fit a standard AR instead. I also ran around with a 3x kincat build, but the damp is absolutely necessary.

Might make fighting for those supply depots all the more necessary :-) Anyhow, vehicles may be as much a win-button if Rattati followed through with the Proficiency fixes for Swarms and Forges. We're looking at the equivalent of +3 Cmp Damage Amps.

Shotty is getting old in his years. He posted somewhere that Chromosome had better hit detection for shotguns. I'm sorry shotty there were so many things about Chromo that were better for scouts, but shotgun hit-detection was certainly not one of them.

Most of the time fighting with the shotgun you get the first shot within Optimal but are finishing them off within effective range.
Effective range is where you're doing less damage than optimal but still doing more than 1 HP per shot

If the framework for higher back-of-the-head multiplier is in place, it can probably be reactivated. If so, this could prove to be a viable fix alternative for Heavies. We'll have to address Arkena's observations early on though. The "weak spot" needs to be consistent; frame designs shouldn't make a merc any more or less resistant. Especially if its the god-d*mn Gallente Sentinel. :: facepalm :: I'm going to go poke at some CPMs and see if I can get any more info/get them to ping CCP regarding this. If the tool is in the bag not using it seems silly (pending any additional information of course)
Completely agree on consistency however, mechanics sporadically applying without clear upfront information drives me nuts (totally a pet peeve... like being too sick to drink )
