It makes sense to have a bastard community. Scouts are basically an archetype that most games have. More and moat games are going MMO/CO-OP/FPSRPG etc, and it is nice to have a team base built in.
Speaking of Steam.. remember when hllmar and foxsucksatcodingfour got steam boxes? I wonder if legion is/was being floated using that.

I got a forum warning about a year ago for repeatedly calling Jack McReady an idiot in one post when he was complaining that the SMG wasn't as good as assault rifles. A while later I got banned for asking him in another of his SMG threads if he had a reminder set to bring SMGs up again every few weeks - apparently that was trolling!
I appealed a couple of times but got shot down, then escalated it and got Eterne on the case only to be shot down by him too! Fortunately it was only temporary and I think I was back on a month later.
On the whole Destiny thing, I wasn't convinced before (not sure I like the idea of mixing sci-fi shooting with fantasy RPG) but if you're all going, I'll give it a go. How do I apply for the beta?

So... An idea to all you lovely folks in PC corps to ask of your CEOs...
Maybe in a month or so we should hold a farewell Dust day. Running lol matches. Make it a big thing, we could probably get a few hundred people involved and split into smaller groups. Afterwards they can have the districts, some **** might try and steal them, but who cares... They can own an imaginary piece of land in a game even the creators don't care about.
I suggested some ideas a while ago for matches so I'll throw them here as well.
I wish to play: the Zombie Game (1 vs 16 NK mediums), SG heavies vs NK Scouts, All PLC matches and 16v16 aerial battles.

AV gets 2 minutes to set themselves up in the compound. and hack the two objectives. The others remain unhacked.
The goal of the vehicle team is to destroy the supply depot. So they have to get right inside or up close in the dropship to get it. AV is to try and stop them. Vehicles are allowed to shoot at AV.
Or a better location on a map, wherever is fine :D
