I seriously had my worst solo games ever. in two games I died a total of 19 times. One dom, where my team wasn't doing **** as usual. 2nd in ambush. I kept trying and trying, yea I got some off the hook ninja kills but the death toll, It's unbelievable. For now, I'll be in the shadows playing passively; rather than being aggressive and taking the shadows with me, engulfing my targets. It's quite irritating playing. I need some support to continue playing for now. |

I've definitely toned down my gun game in the past 2 weeks because I was tired of getting 10/15 deaths per match. It got to the point where the extra deaths would only 'buy' me 3-4 extra kills anyway, and when the team isn't behind you towing the line it just got to a point of ridiculous suicide runs and wasn't fun anymore.
Whether I'm using a shotgun or AR as my primary weapon, I've definitely been focusing on stealth, tactics and choosing my battles lately. My kills have gone down, but my deaths have gone down by a greater margin so my .64 KDR is on the slow climb up....
I'm saving more ISK too. Can't wait until I have fast speeder bike to spend it on.... |

i had a few games in a row this morning against the same tanker teams and protoclowns with dual core flaylocks.... barely went positive (some games negative)... they were even flocking together all time... nearly impossible to sneak upon them -.-''

I think I need to go back to playing on my big screen because I have a hard time making out what weapon a player is carrying if I am more than 10m away. If they dont shoot first sometimes its hard to make out. Also getting hit by invisible grenades.
Not sure if it is lag or just crap rendering. |

You're right, this doesn't look good. I put up a response with a few suggestions that'd keep us in the game. I doubt that these ideas will get any traction, but it can't hurt to ask, right?

Shotty, interesting posts, I reviewing them again and should have some input.
As for every one...EVERYONE getting the same rotational speed is kinda....Dumb. Better for the overall player base, but it feels like we are going arcade ish. |

Also, i dont think a heavy should pirouette to look behind him. Perhaps a method of allowing them to tilt their HMG vertical and perform an about-face. |

Thanks, Aythadis. My suggestions aren't better than any other, but I'd like the Devs to start thinking about big changes for scouts. They've crippled our combat role and removed any semblance of scout viability in PC. Our last advantage -- the scout's already diminished effectiveness in surprise attack -- now stands further threatened. If this is to be, we will need a new edge. Something we can work toward getting good at. Something to make the game fun again. CCP very well may think "Dev love" to be a 30 point boost to stamina...that just isn't gonna cut it. |

I got an idea for scouts. Hear me out on this one.
Add 2 equipment slots. Reduction to CPU and Pg on drop up links.
(I really dont want to get into the meat and potatoes of increase cpu, Pg sheild and armor and return their stamina and sprint speed, lower the other suits turning speed while increasing the scouts, oh an scout weapons like the knifes should not have much of an effect on our overall suit [ as in cpu pg], oh and while i am at it, scouts should get a free case off beer for putting up with this crap)
I should have bulleted that list so I could get better fan mail in game.
Side side note. make the Flaylocks a scout only weapon. Actually, make a weapon ONLY for this class. Make it kinda cool, kinda potent.
Or jsut give it up and free sniper rifles for EVERY ONE |

Nah, it's not super private. I did want to, to keep rumors from rollin', but basically I wanted to know, on a corporate scale, if an all scout team actually works. The biggest issue will be recruitment. Less and less active players every day, and there's less scouts than there are medium frames. And most will be in corps already. I once played a game against two full squads of Royal Assassins Guild, and nearly all of them had scout suits. Most were militia suits but they still held their own. So I think rolling squads of scouts can still be effective in games, but you'll have major issues if you want to run PC. |

PC is what I'm afraid of. Clone Goo vs. ehp vs. scouts doesn't end well. But the thing is that my idea doesn't revolve around the single corporation. The idea is to compile scouts and likeminds in one corporation and hire them out. I'm sure that big alliances wouldn't hire us but perhaps reaching into the pockets of the Unknown Corps or the struggling would be profitable; a terrorist weapon I suppose, against the larger, should we be hired as so. |

The reason none of this business/corporation type stuff works is because people are afraid to spend fictitious money. "Look Bro! If you ain't going to use it, why the hell have it?"
But the bottom line really goes to what is overpowered, underpowered. I mean, apparently it's completely sane to start an all-out medium frame corp but all scout? Nah that's crazy talk |
