while i agree.. i had paid up form the start for BF4. Currently, it works great. but to me it's an antiquated game mode as much as doom is.
I was hoping hardline would be more like payday 2, but it's just really BF4 in L.A.
Shrug.
Bf5 will be totally shrug for me, but the new star wars.. **** man. hopefully, even if it's like BF4, will still be cool. Here's to hoping it transcends that.. but not likely.

BO2 was pretty good, but in my opinion the good CoD games ended with MW2. I still can't believe they left it in the broken state it was after the last update. Even with all the nonsense it was still one of the best FPS games ever made.
My favorite shooter other than Dust was definitely BC2 though. Such fond memories from that game... I really hope that if they release BC3 they'll make it in the same style as BC2, and not with the watered down destruction and terrible balance that has plagued the series since BF3.

I think we should use portals differently from Uplinks. I was thinking e.g. to use them to get from the ground spawn to the MCC spawn quickly if you accidentally deployed in the wrong spot.
Also we could use portals to get to places where you'd otherwise have to climb a lot of ladders, e.g. that one socket with that really high tower and the laaarge ladder on one side of it could be replaced by a portal.
Or use portals in spots where in the real world there would be elevators or long stairs.

Think they've still got the small installations in the coding somewhere? May start grabbing numbers on things like proxy mines and scrambler pistols as well.

The idea was to have a feature where you could fortify a friendly objective/installation, making the hacking time longer, the more your level (and the more hacking mods you have on your suit) the longer the firewall will take to crack, on the other hand having code breakers as a hacker would reduce the time it takes to get through making a dedicated hacker with code breakers more important to have on your team.

ideas, with numbers, for the sake of making the game more complex and less 'arena shooter'. Just throwing something out: Could be a deployable equipment. Slap it on a installation/Objective and it toughens it up hackwise. Gets destroyed on successful hack.
What're you looking at me like that for? I'll shank you I will.

Firewall Idea: Objectives hacked by those with Codebreakers take a percentage longer for those attempting to retake it. Hack with a codebreaker and those without codebreakers would take longer. Not a default bonus like the skill or Minjas but ONLY with the modules.
I know there are issues with this approach, but it'd be easy to implement.
EDIT: Or a Logi bonus

First match after training this we had a domination objective on fracture road. Nobody could hack it because it was hellcamped.
So. Minja time.

I've got an entire fit for suicide hacking objectives when my team doesn't try to win in Dom (Read: ALWAYS) and it's singlehandedly won me more than one game. Active scanner, cloak, triple codebreakers, triple shield extenders, fluxes, shotgun, the whole shebang. I believe hack time on a fully specced hacker minja is about 3.5 seconds. It truly is glorious.
Only downside is it costs about 95k a pop. And for a fit that's not meant to last more than 4 seconds in the danger zone that gets to be a little expensive. One of the many reasons why I never ever play Dom. Did I mention that I hate Dom?

Don't sell Rouge short, he is as much to thank as Rattati for all the good that's come to Dust lately. He's gotten a lot of bad rep from the community for stuff he wasn't actually responsible for.
I also wouldn't be surprised if he reads most posts on the forums, though I do wish he'd write one sometimes.

I would be more willing to give Rouge the benefit of the doubt if he, you know, decided to break his 10 month forum vow of silence. As of now I see no reason to give him any credit, especially given the fact that we've been given zero information regarding Legion for many months. The dude even said he wanted to be transparent about it. Talk about an about face.
I'm sure he's doing something in the background, but saying he's as much to thank as Rattati for the successes we've had is a pretty baseless statement to make, imo.

It wasn't even a suicide.
It was amazing. I ran in, amidst the fire of mass drivers and the staccato of combat rifles, right up to the point. I was surrounded, completely - people camping above me with MDs and rails and people around me with all sorts of things. There was a guy on the console. As I decloak, I knife him, and I start hacking before the body hits the floor.
The hack just completed so insanely quickly that I don't think anyone had time to react. It was amazing.
Also things costing 95k a pop is sort of lulzy for me. I don't give a damn how fragile Minscouts are because I can afford to lose thousands of them. It must suck to be poor.
Dom... Has some problems. I mean, seriously, the rooftop camping is absurd.

Concerning Rouge:
I want to like him. I'm sure he wants the best for the game and all that, but there is only one thing I know about him and that is the infamous 'Rouge Wedding'.
Because though I want to believe that there is a future for this game and that the guy in charge actually wants it to continue, all I've ever seen of him was one presentation that was meant to be about DUST 514 that was the greatest slap in the face in this game's history.
Forum damage control doesn't make up for that.
