uplink, clear point, hack point, defend point, and defend the uplinks.
rinse and repeat.

Auto squading players together is in my opinion a good option. This way blues will have a chance of having a squad leader who's giving order. I know it's not much, but if you could somehow let newbs know that they will earn more sp/wp when they're near the order I'm sure at least few of them would come. Or at least would let them know what the rest of their team is doing.
I'm not saying it's going to stop stomps, but maybe it could help a bit. I don't remember, but doesn't other team based games like battlefield have the same system?
Apart from that, maybe some contracts that won't let you in a match if you're in a squad?
This way proto stompers are on both sides and makes q-syncing those matches hard.

I played the MCC manufacturing map for Skirmish. It's a lot of catwalks and ladders with basement points. Angles and platforming are a sure way to control the area.

The main focus is scout suits, gameplay, and balance. We're in the locker room though, so technically you can talk about whatever. And at 1500 pages going off topic doesn't matter much.
