There has to be something new in this one. Like Sexping or something. That reminds me. There is totally a thing of "too much sexting." My friend is a jerk. I don't need to see any more parts of her until I get off the plane. Does not compute.

you guys know if you crouch you don't show up on radar. That's why slide was so nice.. since it left you in crouch. You may have noticed your icon would blink on your radar when you were crouched. That signified that you were in stealth mode. You just had to move turtle slow.

It would be interesting if that was a bonus ability (it could replace your nade or something), Go radar invisible for 20sec.

Spademan wrote:Riddle me this guys: Bungie have mentioned that the Beta of destiny is about 10% of the total game. Now, it took me about 1-2 hours or so to do everything at least once. (that's 1 game of pvp, 1 strike, all story missions+exploration) Is it just me or does that seem short to anyone else? Particularly what they've been touting? Am I just used to long games (the Souls, skyrim, Dragons Dogma, burnout etc) or might the game be much smaller than we've been led to believe? Here's some good speculation on the size of the release version, though this is based on old data mining.
11 crucible maps, 22 story mission, 6 Strikes, 4 exploration areas, and 1 raid. The missions, strikes and raid will all have multiple difficulty levels.
http://destinynews.net/rumor-gameplay-scale-details/
So maybe 10-12 hours of story missions, 3-4 hours of strikes, 10-20 hours of exploration, and 3-4 hours of raid. So 30-40 hours as a baseline, not including PVP or re-doing missions at a higher tier, and you could easily push exploration out to 30-40 hours by iteself, if that's your thing.
Plus two expansions already announced and included in the pre-order. I don't expect they will be huge, but no doubt there will be larger expansions that open up new explorable areas (Mercury isn't included yet) down the track.

I always look for ammo, even if I have a lot - must be an ocd thing.
Only game I dont know if there are ammo drops is TitanFall - even when I am doing well I'm not sure if I got low on ammo.

I don't really mind the news regarding the expansions.
So long as the base game has enough content going on to make it worth the initial price so I can get my moneys worth out of that and then progress on should I so desire.
This is an MMO (kinda) after all and as such has ongoing costs. Every player is online.
It's basically either this or a subscription model or a F2P model.
I'd prefer this, subscription is annoying if you decide to take a break for a few weeks and F2P can end up as P2W and constant prodding for micro transactions can ruin a game.
But again, this really comes down to making sure the base purchase of the game is actually worth it, that there's actually some meat to the content. And having those who choose to delay getting the expansions still able to play and not instead getting their face wrecked in PvP or having nothing to do because of it.
There are some games where if one of you has the expansion then everyone in the team can play it. This is true of PayDay 2 and a few others I think. If so then maybe now people will actually accept my invites instead of avoiding me :D
Though if it's whole other planets then probably not.
If I bought the next 5 expansion packs (assuming it keeps the same price) + already buying the base game I will have spent less on Destiny than on Dust and that was almost entirely on SP boosters so I could play more than one role without getting my face wrecked by vets who had simply made their characters a year before me. (That's what I get for as a newberry trying to go HMG Heavy & Shotty Scout during early uprising at the height of the Slayer Cal Logi / Flaylock fiasco).
Considering we live in an age where we have Day 1 DLC for single player campaigns, this isn't really surprising.
And I was wondering how they were going to do the whole MMO thing without a subscription or micro transactions.
We'll bang, OK?

Yeah, one of the things I was disappointed with was the lack of any real way to be sneaky in Pvp The crouch to drop off radar has already been mentioned, but there's also going to be class specific abilities for proper stealth/invisibility on the Hunter/Bladedancer subclass. If the invisibility is akin to the clacked Fallen mobs then could be quite interesting in PVP, particualrly when coupled with specialisation in knifing.
