Oh gods. Old Spice. that smell is the only time I like being in close vicinity of men. It smells sooooo good. I wish more butch girls would use it.
Axe on the other hand makes me break out in hives from being around someone that uses it. You guys are gross.

Can confirm using old spice will age you decades in an instant. Back in high school, ran out of my normal spray (think it was...curve. back then lol) but yeah ran out of that so borrowed some old spice. went to talk to a friend and within 2 minutes I heard her saying...you smell kinda like my dad. X(
XD Indeed, chase me friend XD

Hmmmm...I smell like bacteria fermented in a broth made of brain and heart infusion that has been dunked in bleach. If you haven't experienced this smell....you don't want to.

Hmmm for an entirely serious answer: Perhaps. With a B.A. or B.S. in a bio field you have very limited options that typically boil down to a salary in the mid 20's to low 40's (after several years experience) doing primarily glassware washing/basic assays/making solutions/grunt work.
Master's degrees can get you a bit better position (but not by much) PhD's can get you anywhere from 37ish (post-doc) to 100's depending on your experience, your publications, your field, and whether you sold out and went into industry or not.
As far as desirability in becoming a fast food manager.....don't even want to touch that one. |

Not daily, I work part time. 20 hours a week at best (Hours got cut after Obamacare was implemented. THANKS OBAMA). It's also so mentally un-stimulating it's not even funny.
I complain about my job a lot, but that's only because I'm not paid what I should be. I'm still getting minimum wage when I routinely outperform my co-workers despite only having been here for a year.
I help the managers take inventory because most can't do mental math to save their life (and nobody can find the calculator because nobody knows how to put things back where they find them)
I keep reminding people above me on the chain of command about the proper way to fix a problem (fix the cause, not the symptom). I still end up fixing half the problems on my shift (Fixing the drain on the sinks, problems with the CO2 system and soda, putting doors back together because people slam them and bolts come off, etc. etc. etc. )
And despite all of this, they decide that my "raise" I get after a year of working there was the $0.25 raise to minimum wage that EVERYONE got.
I'm gonna keep the job for the semester, and the NOPE the F**K outta there during the summer. My dad is gonna try and get me a job where he works as a mechanics assistant. $10-12 an hour and roughly 40 hours a week. I should pull enough money to afford next years tuition and possibly move out.
Until then? Grit my teeth and wait it out.

I like most of this. The part about the plasma cannon that bothers me is that at the 1050 dmg range, the boost of 100 dmg or so (1155 at proto from 1050 at standard, 28 more splash damage as well)) is pretty small relative to the damage you're doing. The limiting factors are the arc, projectile travel time, reload, and limited ammo. Nothing else changes with proto except you pay 46 more cpu for that 100 more damage (that's less than a complex damage mod, mind you... but you can get full mileage out of the Plasma Cannon while not skilling into it basically). For what the weapon is/does, the scaling across tiers seemed less useful. It would be better if the damage didn't change at all, and you got some other sort of statistical compensation to make up for weapon faults in some way.
A damage boost to 3000 would scale proto damage to 3300 (with spash not changing I suppose). This would make it absurdly good at AV (with splash damage the same, it would probably remain "as" good at being a super shotgun/anti-personnel) numbers-wise, aside from the usual problems of actually hitting something. The tier scaling is still mostly unimportant.
With max proficiency and 3 damage mods, a STD Plasma Cannon would do 4360 dmg with 3000 damage base. Same stats, but using the PRO Cannon at 3300 damage base gets you 4796 damage. That's a 400 damage difference, to be sure, but the limiting factors are still going to be your ability to actually hit things. Any person would be dead with just the one shot either way (I'm inclined to say that 3 dmg mods + prof 5 and a std would kill any person with a direct hit and current damage anyway). The splash damage would be just as limited as it is now. With a vehicle, the numbers difference isn't typically going to be the difference between one-shotting or two-shotting it. You'll either be able to land two shots, or you won't...
I'd rather see some adjustment to the weapon function to make it more practical to use, or failing that, some alteration of the weapon across tiers to make skilling into it more appealing than just stacking damage mods to save SP.
Dren and Templar equipment stats, wrong since release.

Well, it's closer to a daily job than I've ever had. If I didnt have my rent payed by my dad and 6 grand of the government every 6 months I'd be anally raped. Metaphorically. No point having a mentally stimulating job if it can't support you physically. Though I'm hoping my big break will be from my book.

Yes, I've written short stories for a bit, and now that I feel I kind of have some experience with writing I decided to give a novel a shot, hopefully to turn into a series. What's the worst that could happen?
I'm still detailing the whole thing, but it'll be something along the lines of a space exploration Sci-Fi. Detailing first encouters with aliens and the tension it causes back on earth. Possibly something like that. Still highly changable.
Sure, if you want I guess you could start reading some of it when I have a few chapters done, help me develop it.

forget this stupid little all-round combat idea. it is terrible at both AV and AI. It needs to excel at one or the other and hve a nice little flavorful bonus for its opposite. The skill itself reduce charge up time, I like the speed and arc. Either it becomes the dumb-fireswarms of yore or it becomes the Gallente Mass Driver. Best solution is the AV weapon. I also think both swarms and Plasma Cannon should do the same about of damage along all three tiers, but that's debatable. standard 5% increase to damage per level wouldn't really make that much of a difference when using numbers like those. I think 3k is a good starting number for discussion, like haggling for price. slowly bring it down. But having it the skill shot AV weapon with current mechanics would be best.
