Those are easily by far more beneficial than a stamina bonus.

Well just put two complex kinkats in the lows and see how fast your stamina goes. The Amarr scout could probably be the fastest scout in the game because he does not run out of stamina. I do agree the bonus may be a bit higher to mirror the other scout bonuses.

I will go minni scout again by the way because of the hacking bonus which i am loosing on my logi.

Yes you would Mech but you get 2 bonuses.

 1 Complex Code Breaker

 the equivalent of
 2 Complex Side Arm Modules
 1 Enhanced Side Arm modules

 Howver only affecting Nova Knives.

 The Amarr suit gets

 1 Standard Cardiac Regulator.

Why shouldn't we have a proto one? There is no excuse for us not to get a bonus of equivalent value. If we are not the best hackers, not the best passive scanners, nor the best Dampened Scouts, we should be the best Biotics Scouts.

I agree it should be a complex boost, the knives bonus is lost on me as I do not use them. I would rather see a shot gun boost or something like a short range weapon boost but I do not think that will ever happen and I do not really need it anyway.

 @ Lightning
We've put together a corp for alts; a place to share information behind closed door. We'd be honored to have you onboard. It would appear our time for resurgence has come. o7
I take slight offense to this. Not saying I'm better but I believe I could match him. He is still without a doubt my favorite scout to squad up with as him and I can tear through everything in our path It's ok, Radar. I've killed lightning a couple dozen times without ever having died to him. Lightning xVx however holds the record for "most memorable pubstomper." Despite many scouts eclipsing him in his prime, he was much more memorable at doing it. But Scout Registry is big on giving titles to retired scouts... Which is better? The Martyr? Or the Believer who keeps fighting instead of dying? Or are both equally commendable? Philosophy at 2 AM. I really need to get to sleep. EDIT: Hi Lightning. Good to see you are back!
All good points. Too early to bestow title of baddestassery...

But when he immediately did not shoot me I realized he was with you. It pretty cool having a pistol duel however I apologize for using the Viziam that one time but it was my least expensive fitting with a decent pistol (only 30K) and it had a nanohive so......

I had a lot of fun doing that duel with you. Excuse the delay in the begining as I didn't have a pistol fit setup, I'll make sure to keep a few fits around to duels with so that we can get started right away next time! (One with uplinks, one with hives and so on.) Don't worry about using the, slightly more expensive, good guns, it just brings that extra little bit of risk that makes the game more fun to play. I think I'll be putting a few points into pistols to try them out, if nothing else I'll be able to put up more of a fight in future duels!

When I saw Bojo on the other side I just posted in 'Scouts United' since that is the channel where all the scouts hangout, since I not really a fan of having loads of channels open I suggest we just continue to use 'Scouts United' to get impromptu duels going.

I don't think there's a specific channel for that. Yet.
If you're a Scout, then add in-game channel 'Scouts United'.
This would be your best bet at finding a dueling partner or Knife Squad.

Not to hijack the conversation, but I'd like to see the Minmatar bonus be changed from NK. I know alot of players love them, but it limits options on the suit. A bonus to sidearms (+2% a level?), instead of knives specifically would be more widely applicable.

So I'm wondering what scout to spec into after the patch.

Caldari scout looks incredibly resilient - 450 shields with a 2s (with regulator) recharge delay and 50 HP/s is insane. That kind of durability without slowing down at all seems amazing, especially as it'll have a cloak and good passive scans as well.
Gallente scout's dampening bonus might be valuable with the new Gallogi, and can fit an absurdly massive tank with inherent regen.

Minmatar scout... Seems like the best choice for ninja work. Knife damage bonus, fastest scout, room for kincats, acceptable regen and a hack bonus.

Amarr scout looks like it can run all day and tank very well too. The stamina looks amazing - a load of my deaths tend to be from running out of stamina when I need to vault over a railing to escape or something.

I'm presently leaning towards the Caldari scout, although I like knifing and the Gallente scout is my racial favourite.

Anyone else care to share their thoughts?

I'm in the same boat ... I've been a Gallente Scout all along, but when I started running pistol/knives/RE's in 1.6, I decided to start speccing up the Minja tree. I love it, and that's where I'm leaning now (if there's a respec) ... but to be honest, all four scouts look like they have the potential to be pretty great.

 Yes they are.

The one I'm least likely to go for is the Caldari, I guess. It looks like a great suit, but it gives me the least amount of options for avoiding scanners. I don't know if I mentioned this, but I HATE BEING SCANNED.
It'll be great for scout-hunters and snipers, though.
The Gallente and Amarr suits both would serve my purpose in that regard a bit more ... the stealth and recon abilities of the G Scout are nifty, and the Amarr suit? Man, I know there are a lot of guys unhappy with the proposed bonus to it, but that thing is going to be the T-1000. Tanked up and relentless ... it seems like it'll be the perfect foil for a Minnie Scout...

So, to me, the Gallente and Amarr suits look really nice ... especially for my mindset. Either one would compliment my playstyle nicely, and give me a decent amount of options when it comes to avoiding scanners.

But those knives are so much fun...

The most rewarding kill in the game, to my mind.

Githyanki, you may be the only other person that i know of to ever reference the GithyankiGǪ

You haven't lived until you've played the old PC Game "Torment" ... Curious, the random things which permanently impress upon nerdfolk. >warning the following post contains extreme dorkiness read with caution nosebleeds may occur< I ran a year long D&D campaign centred around an impending astral invasion of hidden planar realms using the Githyanki as a central force.
Man, I run across Githyanki scum all the time in my DarkSun campaign.... flaw, racial intolerance: Githyanki. You think playing a scout is tough, try playing a thief on Athas.... you guys would love it.

I haven't had to roll up a new character in 5 sessions in a row, now. A new personal record....

****, did I just go full nerd mode....?

Go minja! Only because they look scary as hell tear-assing at you. Like a ramshackle gremlin.
Everything below the face is amazing.... I want to put a paper bag over its head......

 Knives are that much fun.

 ONE OF US

That, and Minmatar are serisously gonna be amazing hit and run builds in 1.8.

My build I posted on Nos Nothi has the same shield delay and better recharge than the Caldari scouts base stats, while also sprinting at almost 2.5m/s faster than it. I lose shield tanking abilities (Only 270 shields, compared to the Cal scout who will probably run around 360 shields and a Complex Precision enhancer)

Combine that with an insane passive hack skill (5 seconds without mods) and you have a class built to cause massive chaos in a city. I will be killing lone defenders, hacking before they can spawn, and then leaving at Mach 2 and heading to the next objective.

 CATCH ME IF YOU CAN!

Nothing says "F**K YOU!" like a direct Flaylock to the face. Minmatar. In Rust we trust. |
