I actually think those numbers are within accurate ranges. The unstated 'bite' there however, or "the other shoe" is that of NPE quality and player retention. I do not have specific numbers but it is my understanding that player retention within the 1-3 day metric is, shall we say, less than ideal.

Think of it like a banker, he can accurately state that he has his hands on thousands of dollars every single day... but how much of that he gets to keep by days end is a very different prospect. (As is reflected in the case of Dust by sustained player trends, most of that baseline are the minority that make it through the initial period and become invested in the game.)

I'm actually against resistance modules. Maybe I'm weird, but they'd have to be pretty strong to be worth fitting over just a normal plate and they'd potentially confuse things pointlessly. I sort of understand shield tankers wanting laser resistance modules as the SCR is just obscene against shields atm but I'm more of the opinion that the SCR should be toned down rather than introducing such a mechanic. I'm going to do some meatball maths here - this is entirely off the top of my head, so forgive me for little inaccuracies. It can serve as a general example though. Back to explosives - think about how strong a resistance plate would have to be to be worth fitting over a regular plate. Take someone with 500 armour. Stick an enhanced plate on and you're getting something like 80-90 EHP against explosives, and 110 generally. What percentage resistance would a plate have to be so that it would become more valuable against explosives than a plate? It's going to be around 20%. But wait. That 20% resistance plate is only just as useful as a regular plate against explosives, and has no effect against other types of damage. The resistance needs to be significantly higher so that there needs to be a huge EHP gain specifically against explosives to be worth fitting. So, like 40% or something. Your explosive plate is now vaguely balanced so that people might bother fitting it. However, will it make for good gameplay? Think about this scenario. Someone goes into a match with this fit. They are doing well, and you wish to counter them. You see that they are using armour, so you go to grab some explosive weaponry. This explosive weaponry is completely ineffective. That person has sacrificed a slot to be able to counter this, yes, and on paper I think maybe I'd agree. But in terms of actual gameplay I'm not sure it makes for a good mechanic because it's not possible for you to know how to counter certain fits. In what is already a fairly complex game, is complicating even the simple mechanics worth doing? There isn't any way for you to know if a player is fitting resistance modules, and unless that can be readily displayed (judging by damage mods, efficacy in the game window is unaffected by equipped modifiers) I don't think it's a good idea. It would be nice to think 'There are lots of X weapon in this match, let's equip X resistance plating' and go do that, but if it's not identifiable by the other side you have a situation where you are shooting at people, your weapon is completely ineffective, and you may have no idea why. As to the jump mods specifically the feedback I've gotten is that the changes are liked but excessive. And while the ability to OHK someone from midair with the PLC or similar certainly plays a roll in that they are far from the only issues raised with regards to those who have voiced concerns over the Myos. I hate the numerically unbalanced matches. I don't want to play with only 12 guys on each side +/-4 for one side. All i want is 16vs16 so the maps are full and the battles aren't boring. But put it this way - the average players online per day / week / month effectively show that new players don't stick around (if they are even new players and not farmers). Otherwise, those graphs would trend upwards. It has been this way since forever...or at least since that magical 9K high back in May 2014. I would love to know across the same timelines how many newly created accounts are playing a week later. The stats also do not say whether these are new chars on existing accounts, or new accounts....do they?
