So I been trying the aur proto min logi with : Creo sg 3x com shields 1 com dam Basic plate Com red/green Pg mod Adv quantum scanner Compact nano 2x remotes
I originally was mad in June at the state of scouts an during a sp event I went basic min med frame to 3 an left it, tried it only a few times an started skilling the gallente scout to 3 an I tried the aur proto for that as well. I have had proto min scout, knives , sg an smg since uprising .
I must say after trying out this logi a few weeks ago to use as a equipment dropper at supplie depots originally so I didn't have to rely on crap teammates it helped not having to use 6 scout fits to use links, an turned the tables on matches for me. Yesterday I said fukit an leveled it to 3 do I could use some aur protos.
An my god scouts are really gimped in comparison . I always felt we had it bad with hit detection an various issues but the logi in the hands of a scout is fun as hell. Just the extra equipment an hack speed alone is something a scout should really have!
I was in a Dom an the enemy had the letter an a fire fight was at the letter, so I switched to my hack back suit, scanned to see where everyone was, threw a nade, then threw a cooked nade , ran in with a hive, threw it by my team, switched to a remote , ran to the letter hacked it in like a second ( two kins/ two complex hack mods) dropped the remote ran back to the depot an switched to a dampened speed fit, all before anyone really could figure out how, an who hacked it, it was blue. Then I got 3 kills on the hack back attempt. Got 18 kills one death an 2800 wp.
So I hope they fix this scout soon with some real fixes, because a scout should be able to do at least HALF of a logis abilities. Logi listed above has all that is listed plus the armor regen an hack speed, 600 HP an 8.21 sprint an like 400 end.
I made another sg fit that runs 9.18 with armor! An has 300 shields an a dam mod an 3 equip. I made another with 8.31 speed 350 end an it can beat the 28 db scanner, still have fast hack speed, arm regen, remotes links, scanner, an hives.
It's rediculous how much awesome crap you can stack on this suit an be a superior scout with a massive suitcase! Originally I thought of using the logi as one suit I could switch out to if I got the depot an I could spam enough equipment with two suits to have 5 nano hives out an 6 links an lock the depot for my team to push then switch to the scout an carry on.
But after satisfying my curiosity of the suits potential by going to 3 an trying the proto it's unreal!
I'm used to having 250 total HP , not 600! I mean gek an duv s can still wipe ya out in no time flat but it seems like walls don't snag you an getting around a corner actually works.
Something is seriously wrong with the scout if their is this much of a disadvantage.
From mho tryin both suits I would say scouts need at least:
Option 1.
3% per scout level to hacking Extra low for min High for gallent ( highs for a damage which is why the logi does well, it doesn't lose HP that's detrimental for damage, logi can afford the slot loss , scout can't, an needs the greater ohk possibility
Scanner vision should be built into the suit, and have a modual that is built into the weapons screen that has maybe a 3 second light up an a 20 second recharge basic suits pick up 45 db, adv 36, an proto scouts pick up 28 db.
An a extra equipment ( gallente) an a 1 HP armor regen for minmatar scout( same as all min suits)
I view gallente as stealth an min as a assassin . These 3 bonuses could be given as one out of the 3 or 2/3 either way people would say its op.
But scouts are basically anti logis I I believe the built in scan is nessecary for destroying uplinks an reporting if this was put into play we won't need the extra equip as much. As we need a extra slot each an I think that an CPU pg changes would fix us.
As far as min having HP an gallente too I think scouts should have this if slots aren't given.
But their is no remotely equal comparison between suits but we should have at least HALF of a logis capabilities .

I am using a Lv3 Logi and the only real drawback is profile dampening which isnt that bad most of the time. When I switched back to my scout I felt like I was playing with one hand behind my back.
A level 3 Logi easily outdoes my proto in usefulness though as just a killer my proto has the edge but also at 2-3 times the cost. |

Just got my lvl 3 gal scout suit last night. Getting there. Seems that I rifle, sight a little quicker on my sniper than previous. I can run like a mofo thou, but still easy meat for an AR even at distance.

1. Pretty sure that precision is a fixed value. If your precision beats someone's profile, you'll pick him up once he's within your scan range. In other words, your precision doesn't dissipate extending outward from center.
2. I admit to not having followed or participated in testing on this subject. If I recall correctly, Void and Haerr concluded that range amps are in fact subject to stacking penalty. I believe that hydraSlav (creator of the Dust Fitting Tool) has come to the same conclusion. Please correct me if I'm wrong, citing test references as available.

Scouts all have base scan precision of 45db, so should pick up all other suits that aren't using dampeners.
When I put 4 complex range amps on my gallente proto scout the radar was decidedly patchy but definitely nothing appeared at the 90m range that should be possible if there are no stacking penalties. With stacking penalties enemies should appear for me at up to around 67m and though I couldn't measure for certain, that seemed to be able the distance on the radar that some people popped up but even then it was very patchy and unreliable. |

LOOK AT THESE STATS
1200 RPM. That means that those bursts will be dealing 105 dmg in an instant (due to the insane speed, getting a hit would mean all three shots hit at nearly the same time), the ROF could use some help, but with a theoretical DPS of around 704 (almost 2x the dps of an AR) I assume it will be able to deal more DPS at a range than the AR, making it a valuable mid-long range weapon.
Combine with SMG for minmatar winningness.
My combat scout will be INSANE. I could actually help on long range maps! Then you use knives/SMG for cities!
EDIT: Also, beware the modded controllers coming back. Unless they give it some decent kick, everyone from the TAC AR days will whip out the modded controller and proceed to spam that CR in CQC till the Kill pops up. |

Some do though. Clicking 7 times in a second is really hard to do on a DS3.
