I honestly disagree. If rep tools worked through walls and hills and stuff, for instance, sure, but at those ranges? Good luck keeping a line of sight long enough to lock on, let alone do any good.
^this. Also, considering that have the time the blue is right in front of me and I have to weave back and forth to get the damn thing to register half the time.

Yep. Considering I'm 3 shotted across the map by RRs. I'm not going to be making much use of that 'longer' range. I use the core focused tool for this reason. It's shorter range but honestly, the longer range isn't going to help me much especially when us infantry are forced into buildings to avoid tanks. If my reps can't bend, I won't be using that range.
unless for some strange reason I wanted to be hilarious and rep a DS in the sky. that might be fun. [/quote]

Thanks for removing the thing that made me spec into the Minlogi in the first place, sweet, well played. And yes, you said the bonuses were temporary, but could you have chosen anything LESS suited for the Minmatar logi? I mean, seriously? If they switched the Minmatar and Gallente Logi bonuses, people might be happier. Minmatar are better for flanking and what is better for flanking than a good Active Scanner? Gallente of course are the Brick Armor tanks, so would the Rep Tool bonus not make sense for them? I'm not understanding the issue against the Minmatar Logistics bonus. I understand the anger of being switch from Hacker to Healer but besides that there isn't much to complain about. You realise how much that would help a lot of repair logis on the field? Now with the Gallente Bonus I can only hope to assume the are making changes to the current Active scanner in conjunction with the new Gal. Logistics bonus.
Would be better if the proposed Min Logi Rep Tool bonus was for speed (repair rate) rather than distance (which is not practical unless tools will repair through walls, terrain, etc. ) |

I'm not saying your wrong about the lock on mechanisms of the rep tools, but range defiantly could help. Imagine being able to rep your heavies from behind cover about 25 to 30 meters away where they can dodge and weave and not worry about you getting hit from the stray bullets. Also that range and bonus to reps might pose some really good results to vehicle reaping.

I think for most people, the bonus is a nice idea but a lot of us are sad to see the hacking speed go from the Minmatar logistics. I feel that if the logi suit doesn't get the bonus then the scout or light suit should.

Additional range is marvellous, as long as you have line of sight... Once that heavy/assault/commando/etc takes a corner or crosses a hill, your repair stops. |

For most of us min logis its simply because that extra range isn't going to help much. I have the core focused rep tool and it has short range but honestly when I connect, I don't have to be there long before I can jump back in cover, scan or help my team in any other way. If I needed range, I could always scale back to the core rep tool (not the focused) with 21 distance range. That range is honestly plenty. Having longer range means that:
- I can heal my assault for about 3 more secs before he still outruns me since I can't run and heal at the same time
- I'm even more likely to get caught healing something I don't mean to heal because there are many more objects in my way to attach to
- People are using this example with the idea that I have that kind of open space to connect with. I for one never want to be stuck out in the wide open with my golden lasso of love announcing to everyone that I'm there and btw so is my greenberry, come gun us down with your RR or tank. Otherwise, I'm in a building where everyone is rushing around corners and cover which doesn't give me any benefits for 'distance'.
The bonus to reps I'm actually all for. I think my core focused rep tool might be beastly again.

Also to have someone spend 2.5 million SP into their drop suit, you expect them to have the same amount of slots as a basic frame?
Lemme get this straight... you want sympathy about how long it takes to get fully healed.. Because you have MORE HP THAN ANYTHING ELSE except a heavy??? yeahhhhhno. no sympathy. As far as 2.5 million SP.. yeah so what? That goes for all proto suits. Same for scouts. and scouts get even LESS slots. So again, no sympathy there. Quote: Also let me put it to you this way. If you were to take two slots away from the logistics class I can personally tell you that you will see little to no logistics players on the field at all. This means you going to die, no one can revive you,
Oh, you mean pretty much like it is now? Because all the logis on my team (or on the other team, for that matter) seem to be too busy killing people, instead of focusing on healing? Right now, I'm more likely to get revived by a random assault carrying a needle, or a starter fit medic, than by a logi. So I'm still not seeing a problem with that "change".
What about Minmatar Logis? Bricked out at Proto it has less HP than most Proto assaults. 4 equipment slots means its more about team support than anything. Hack bonus means its directed at multitasking in PCs where scouts are few and far between. When was the last time you saw Mini logis proto stomping?
All thisbeing said, I'm happy about my fellow minmatarlogis standing up and explaining how we want to keep a bonus that isn't op, and has never been a cause for complaint by other players. How about we keep our hacking bonus instead of the range bonus, and you can still buff the rep tool?

No offense to your corp, but that sounds more like a recruiting problem to me. I've seen tons of support logis on the field and personally my corp assaults run with an injector which makes me life so easy. I basically rep all day. Post something on your recruitment board and get some good logis.

Believe it or not, not everyone runs around with their corp buddies in full squads all day. The majority of people, in fact, do not do so, judging by the basic team makeup of most battles I'm in.
This game is related to EVE, but it is not EVE. It isnt all about the corp you are in. For most people, its just about running around trying to have fun.

I hear you. I love my alliance but have several channels I've been invited to and I play the game to have fun. My kdr is proof positive of that. I have silly suits just because. However you're saying Logis as a whole should be punished because got forbid we kill something once in a while. I hate slayer logis as much as the rest of us, but the "change" hits even those of us that run as 100% support. I don't think taking away slots was the right way to go. Should have just made it impossible to stack dmg mods or even a bigger penalty.
But then again, why should I care at all when the balance in this game if just freaking hilarious. A 2 year old could balance this game better.

You're coming from "logis have this now, so taking it away is punishment". That's a misguided viewpoint. It's not "being punished", its "taking away something they never should have had to begin with". Logis should never, never NEVER have had the ability to have more tank than an assault. Never. No excuses, no exceptions. Any claim you may make about "but but logi..." would go double for the assault class. So no. Just no.

Well you want someone to help you right ? But how will be supposed to do it while he wil die first everytime ? Less life means : Focused first to get kills.
How are we supposed to help the assaulters and heavies if ennemies shoots US first ? That's already what happen.... We repair AND tank damage for you. YOU'RE supposed to take bullets not us.
Assault is NOT supposed to be a "More hp more damage speeder more stamina more EVERYTHING". Like Logi should NOT be able to fit damagers. But i ABSOLUTELY don't see why they should have even less hp. 50 less base hp seems already good for me. Less damage YES. Less life ? Well we already have 50 less base hp. even less will be nasty.
We're not asking more life. We just ask some hp regen. And don't tell me "fit armor repair" because actually they are broken and pretty useless. These time with the actual TTK even with 13hp/s you die so fast than they dont have the time to even play a role. Single burst fire from anywhere or lost bullets take you down so fast......
Anyway to me logi just SHOULD get their PG/CPU r+¬duction to equipements. Then have less base PG/CPU (still higher than assaulters but less than now). Unable to fit damagers. Same lower base stats than assault (like now) And you have balanced logi unable to play as assaulters but able to help teamates. |

**** ya, ion pistol is coming. Ahh if only it had come a little sooner, I might not have skilled all the way into scramblers pistols. I don't regret that though scramblers are a lot of fun. It's going to be a while though before I'll be able to get to skilling IPs though, what with cloaks and the Gal heavy soon to be upon us as well.
