Sana Rayya wrote:Minmatar bonus is actually pretty nice - you'll get 88 HP/s on the Lai Dai from 48m away, on two targets. You can easily heal front liners without exposing yourself to significant danger. The WP earnings from that will be huge.
Gal Logi bonus takes the cake though. It has the potential to completely ruin stealth tanking for everyone except proto scouts with proto dampeners.
As someone else said, only if the Rep Tools start working THROUGH walls, etc. |

I do hope these changes will warrant a re-spec of Our dropsuit skills.
As far as I've been told from EVE players, Caldari is supposed to be best race for E-war and the scanning bonus goes to Galente...
Edit:
If Caldari and Gallente switched bonuses and Amarr and Minmatar did the same, wouldn't that make more sense gameplay wise and perhaps even lore wise?
Anyways, too bad the awesome hack bonus dissapears, perhaps it'll get allocated to a scout suit??? Well the scanner is of Gallente design so I think CCP is sticking with the racial bonuses to racial equipment mentality. I agree that that is probably the rationale. But the scanning bonus is asymmetrical with the other bonuses. Minmatar, Amarr and Caldari logis are getting bonuses to material effects, while Gallente logis are getting bonuses to information acquisition effects. The scanning bonus is global over an area, the material bonuses are local. The scanning bonus is far more powerful on the battlefield than the other bonuses. I have the impression these bonuses were crafted by looking at the expected WP income for the individual Logi, as opposed to the way the respective Logis leverage their team. Edit: I do want to say that i love the Logi equipment fitting bonus. That is as right as can be for the class. Well done.
I too like the CPU/PG bonuses for Logis, and also agree with the non-local aspect of the Gal Logi scanner bonus.
Suggestion: Remove the scanner bonus altogether. Give the Rep Tool bonus to Gal (or Amarr), as it is more appropriate for their armour-first tech (and less so for Min speed-centric tech). Also, change Rep Tool range to speed, unless ripping through walls is planned. Give RE/PE bonus to Min Logis.
Lastly, as Minmatar tech is speed-centric, I'd suggest changing Min Assault bonus from damage mods to shield regulators or rechargers.

Agreed What is the point of being a light, fast logi if we have to sit still behind a heavy and get shot at all day? -_- The Amarr Logi bonus is just as bad. We are THE slowest medium frame suits on the battlefield, but they give us a bonust to uplinks? We also have less PG than the other logis, and uplinks are PG hungry. Looks like I won't be utilizing my racial bonus. This could be a problem with the Amarr only having 1 equipment.
Change racial logi bonuses to:
Amarr: Rep Tool Gallente: Drop Uplinks Caldari: no change Minmatar: Explosives
Fixed.

Just remember to have patience, and keep your magic crystal ball close by at all times. These numbers are not necessarily final.
On another note, the Gallente Heavy is looking pretty. Thanks for the gal heavy, but for the logi, i really don't like the bonus. It's a constriction, use that logi for that work, use the other logi for the other work. I'm really happy about the bonus on equipments pg/cpu for all, but the racial bonus... meh... I'll still run uplinks, hives and repair tool on my main Minmatar Logistics suit. It gets a bonus to one of them. The Amarr and Caldari get bonuses to different ones. It doesn't make them less effective than what we have today unless the tools are being changed as well. With the equipment fitting bonus it'll be easier to run better versions of all of them and not weaken other aspects of my fitting. The only bonus that seems off to me is the Gallente one. That seems like it should go to the Scout but I guess they are thinking of it as a counter-Scout support role.
Agreed. Scanning bonus should be a scout thing. |

I honestly disagree. If rep tools worked through walls and hills and stuff, for instance, sure, but at those ranges? Good luck keeping a line of sight long enough to lock on, let alone do any good.
^this. Also, considering that have the time the blue is right in front of me and I have to weave back and forth to get the damn thing to register half the time.
RKKR wrote: In open fields...not exactly the place where I want to be with a minmatar logi.
Yep. Considering I'm 3 shotted across the map by RRs. I'm not going to be making much use of that 'longer' range. I use the core focused tool for this reason. It's shorter range but honestly, the longer range isn't going to help me much especially when us infantry are forced into buildings to avoid tanks. If my reps can't bend, I won't be using that range.
unless for some strange reason I wanted to be hilarious and rep a DS in the sky. that might be fun. [/quote]

Thanks for removing the thing that made me spec into the Minlogi in the first place, sweet, well played. And yes, you said the bonuses were temporary, but could you have chosen anything LESS suited for the Minmatar logi? I mean, seriously? If they switched the Minmatar and Gallente Logi bonuses, people might be happier. Minmatar are better for flanking and what is better for flanking than a good Active Scanner? Gallente of course are the Brick Armor tanks, so would the Rep Tool bonus not make sense for them? I'm not understanding the issue against the Minmatar Logistics bonus. I understand the anger of being switch from Hacker to Healer but besides that there isn't much to complain about. You realise how much that would help a lot of repair logis on the field? Now with the Gallente Bonus I can only hope to assume the are making changes to the current Active scanner in conjunction with the new Gal. Logistics bonus.
Would be better if the proposed Min Logi Rep Tool bonus was for speed (repair rate) rather than distance (which is not practical unless tools will repair through walls, terrain, etc. ) |

All Assault get +2% to light weapon RoF bonus per level. Caldari Assault: +5% to HP bonus of shield extender modules per level. Gallente Assault: +5% to HP bonus of armor plate modules per level. Minmatar Assault: +5% to damage bonus of damage modifier modules per level. Amarr Assault: +5% to repair rate of armor repair modules per level.
Min Assault bonus should be shield regulator or recharge - in line with their speed-centric tech (and corresponding to Amarr Assault bonus.) |

Would be better if the proposed Min Logi Rep Tool bonus was for speed (repair rate) rather than distance (which is not practical unless tools will repair through walls, terrain, etc. ) I'm not saying your wrong about the lock on mechanisms of the rep tools, but range defiantly could help. Imagine being able to rep your heavies from behind cover about 25 to 30 meters away where they can dodge and weave and not worry about you getting hit from the stray bullets. Also that range and bonus to reps might pose some really good results to vehicle reaping.
Additional range is marvellous, as long as you have line of sight... Once that heavy/assault/commando/etc takes a corner or crosses a hill, your repair stops. |
