New Scout question:
Can you pull up the attributes, to confirm or deny whether any scout suits get more than 1 EQ slot? For that matter, would be good to know the slot count on caldari and amarr scouts, too. I'll presume they are not changing the slots for gallente and minmatar scout

LOLol... that looks less like a pistol, and more like a one-handed rail rifle. SWEEeeet...
If amarr assault gets bonuses on "laser weaponry", I want caldari assault to have bonuses on "rail weaponry" !!

not really. Because 1. there's still 1 logi that has the repair 2. logis didnt get a slot count reduction. Slot count is the major reason for slayer logis

I used the natural repair bonus Logistics suits had to ensure I was in good condition while repairing others. This argument can be counted by repairing nano hives along with the new bonus.
oh, woe is me.... if only they had a MODULE, that could automatically repair a suit? Oh wait, they do have one.
So you'll lose a Whole Slot. Such a tragedy... when you should really be losing TWO slots, to put you on par with normal medium frame slot count.

Which would mean logis would have to actually use cover, rather than act like a tank, walking through the middle of battle without worries. How.. terrible and unreasonable?
Lame excuses, "bro".

Getting a bonus against "splash damage" on the other hand could be even more useful. That would expand the definition to splash damage from all grenades, forge guns, rail turrets, plasma cannons, etc. On the flip side, a direct hit would still score 100% damage for all weapons, including explosives. This would be my preference because it helps us resist all sorts of area-denial attacks but still keeps us wary of the direct damage caused by these weapons.
It's splash damage. I'll change the text description as it seems to have caused more confusion than I'd have expected.
Does that include, or exclude, damage from remote explosives? There isnt really a "direct hit" with them. Nor is there one with non-fused grenades.
Well, I suppose there COULD be a direct hit... if you start allowing RE's to be sticky on heavy suits. It would seem to be a popular request...

Dj grammer wrote: 1st off, wow I repair at 5hp/s on armor out of how I run on my suit? about 500 running basic plates? so 100 seconds I have to wait to full health w/o repair modules? We're repairing at the speed of light right? Yes that really cost me a "whole suit" (sarcasm if you didn't get it). Also to have someone spend 2.5 million SP into their drop suit, you expect them to have the same amount of slots as a basic frame?
Lemme get this straight... you want sympathy about how long it takes to get fully healed.. Because you have MORE HP THAN ANYTHING ELSE except a heavy??? yeahhhhhno. no sympathy.
As far as 2.5 million SP.. yeah so what? That goes for all proto suits. Same for scouts. and scouts get even LESS slots. So again, no sympathy there.
Quote: Also let me put it to you this way. If you were to take two slots away from the logistics class I can personally tell you that you will see little to no logistics players on the field at all. This means you going to die, no one can revive you,
Oh, you mean pretty much like it is now? Because all the logis on my team (or on the other team, for that matter) seem to be too busy killing people, instead of focusing on healing? Right now, I'm more likely to get revived by a random assault carrying a needle, or a starter fit medic, than by a logi. So I'm still not seeing a problem with that "change". |

That guy is right especially if you partake in PC Battles. Sometimes we do not have to be equivalent to being a medic (contradicting myself). For you, whatever drop suit you run Quil, you would like to be in the action all the time. We the logis will carry those uplinks for ya to spawn on if no one revived you.
You're sounding like mr. Henry Ford; "[you can run any dropsuit you like, so long as its a medium frame]"
No, I DONT want to be in the action all the time. I run scout. And I drop uplinks myself, thanks very much.

Logi does not have to equal medic to do their job. Uplinks, scans, and hives are all important, too
Sure. But none of those things require ludicrous counts of slots for out-tanking a heavy. If you're busy dropping EQ, you DONT need lots of HP, because you shouldnt be running around directly in the line of fire. |

No offense to your corp, but that sounds more like a recruiting problem to me. I've seen tons of support logis on the field and personally my corp assaults run with an injector which makes me life so easy. I basically rep all day. Post something on your recruitment board and get some good logis.
Believe it or not, not everyone runs around with their corp buddies in full squads all day. The majority of people, in fact, do not do so, judging by the basic team makeup of most battles I'm in.
This game is related to EVE, but it is not EVE. It isnt all about the corp you are in. For most people, its just about running around trying to have fun.

However you're saying Logis as a whole should be punished because got forbid we kill something once in a while. .
You're coming from "logis have this now, so taking it away is punishment". That's a misguided viewpoint. It's not "being punished", its "taking away something they never should have had to begin with". Logis should never, never NEVER have had the ability to have more tank than an assault. Never. No excuses, no exceptions. Any claim you may make about "but but logi..." would go double for the assault class. So no. Just no.
