Wow this thread certainly got moving since yesterday.
I like the general direction those changes are headed - I do think there is room for modifications and improvements to that list though. I hope CCP takes opinions in this thread under consideration.
My only problem is the Gallente logistics getting what I would call a scout bonus. I thought we had all been pushing for the scout role / light suit role to be the scanners / finders / infiltrationists?
I know these changes are not final and I HOPE they will be adjusted before - "if and when" - they get released. I just wonder what is to come for scouts as this gives me a whole ton of reasons to use every other suit before a scout suit. That's great for heavy classes and medium suits - what about poor old scouts? |

Nice to see the mini logi getting a bonus to the one gear that I don't use thanks to being forced to have a scanner. The hacking bonus was useful to me as I chose mini because of the speed and hacking so I could get to objectives faster and hack them before the other team could react.

That should have been the scouts job from the beginning. I'm hoping that will be the case once all the scouts are released.

I'm really happy for most bonuses. Except for the bonuses to Gallente Assault and Amarr Assault: - Amarr Assaults have the lowest base movement speed and use long-range weapons - they need a bonus for maximum buffer tanking. - Gallente Assaults armor tank and use short-ranged weapons - they need a (big) cpu/pg reduction to kinetic catalysers.
FYI: I use both suits at the ADV level. I have no interest in having one of them be better than the other. |

Perhaps at the start of maps, but once fighting for the objectives starts. I have a hard time seeing scouts get to the objectives, what with the low TTK these days. Even my most bricked out fits get shredded like tissue paper.

A balance pass is not the same a role changes. Swarms can still kill tanks, just not as easily and I know plenty of people who use the Flaylock too with deadly effectiveness. How much SP does it take to get swarm launchers, most people probably spend <1mil SP on them and the side upgrades don't directly effect their play style.
How much does it take to get into a prototype suit. 2.5 million, several months of hitting cap every week without a booster.
Im fine with a dropsuit skill refund at minimum. But some people have spent exactly what they need to be effective. Someone that has 5 million SP (new player) needs the respect WAAAY more than a vet.

But a Minnie scout is an assassin.
If you want to give me the hacking bonus in addition to something else, fine but I dont want it substituted in.
Hacking is fine as a skill without the Min Logi bonus. If they lose it, its a shame for the players that picked the suit because of that but it doesnt have to go to another role.
Skill up in Hacking and use codebreakers. |

@Jackbubu Terrible bonuses are terrible.
The cloak is far to situational for it to be the centerpiece of any specialization.
Not to mention we lose our scan stealth, I.E. One of the few good things about the scout.

So from what I think I just read/saw:
Scouts and Assault..... **** off. Love my shield bone ass gal assault, scout will love more potent scanners.
Active scanner bonus'............unless the scanners are gunna be nerfed this is a joke. Un-needed.
Commandos... will never be worth **** while Sentinels can run light weapons better. And dont gimme the 2 light weapon BS, can only use 1 at a time, TTK means you only need one.
Logis....... I do not believe CCP have ever seen a logi, therefore they will blindly throw bonuses around, with no care of consequences.
Glad to see the other sentinels, but feel their release should be released with at least 2 Heavy weapons,(The missing racial weapon, Amarr and Gal)
All in all; This whole thing sketches me out due the fact after the MLT nitrous incident, we gained 100% proof that CCP do not, double, triple and quadruple check code/numbers prior to a release, nor do they test new content.

They still didn't they've always had that bonus (Since 1.3). Or do you mean the passive bonus? I like the new one. It doesn't make the G-Assault useless.
