Amarr > Gallente > Minmatar > Caldari
Sentinels in order of "awesome" to "suck".
Caldari Sentinel is really only good for . . . sitting in the redline with a thale's
Gallente is the best with a forge gun because of Armor based with high slots.
Amarr is best with HMG, because projectile damage resistance with the most armor
Minmatar is alright. Some people like to put kincats on them and run around with a burst HMG. Kinda hilarious the first few times, but doesn't have the power to be an "always" kind of thing.

Caldari Sentinels are pretty hard to use, simply because they have a good chunk of armor despite being shield based but only 1 low slot, which you really want to fill with a Regulator, but then you have no means for self armor recovery.

Cal-Sent was the first one I skilled into post 1.8 on the specific character Appia Vibbia (necessary amount of qualifiers). I still use it to forge, because high slots, but without an anti-infantry Caldari Weapon... nevermind. Cal Sent is doing what it's supposed to. Takin' out scrubs with the forge is anti-infantry.
The shields on that just aren't high enough to tank a light weapon. It and the Commando are why I think no suit should have only a single low. To me, even complex recharges and complex regulators aren't enough on the Cal Sent to matter. I'll stick to my good ole' 2 high, 3 low sentinel for forge gunning.

I'm pretty sure it does. It doesn't say which one of course, just that a (insert installation name here) is being hacked somewhere But the installation that's being hacked does flash on the HUD and map, meaning anyone looking at the point will know it's being hacked. Which is why I figure hey, might as well save some time but not cloaking and just hacking the b*stard. At least that way you'll know exactly when and from which direction a sentinel is trying to touch your butt from.

Overall exciting patch. But still not turning on the game because I can't shoot things nor be arsed to swap out the cables from the ps4.
I laughed hysterically at: 1. 20% market value 2. "Requesting for needle penetrations"
Things that make me go huh? 3. Boosts based on AUR spent 4. The insane weekly cap amount at 750k was hard to attain during 5x SP events. I had to no-life all friggin week. 5. Who in their right mind will sell BPOs? 6. Stacking skill boosters, does that mean is the end of SP events? Can you imagine the impacts to those? 5xSP this week, oh I will just throw on 10 omega boosters for 3 days and no life the **** out of this and win Dust. Thats 75 million SP.

1) already commented on how it is a letdown. 2) ******* finally. 3) hoping the AUR spent Loyalty bonus just ends up being a permanent discount. Like 0-15% discount on consumables 4) That's a good thing. Having the cap higher than anyone can reach as a casual player means that people won't get discouraged from playing after hitting the cap after 20-35 games. 5) Did you see the discussion thread? I can't trade between alt account but as I've got 3 cal assaults and 2 gal scouts (about to be 3) I can send in a ticket to get some transfered over to Nappia (I think she's skilled into Min Scout because low-SP min-scout is hardmode) and Mathppia (who is ADS test-pilot, even though Vibbia has more SP in vehicles now) 6) I hope not. I soooo want a 3x SP event with new cap. Also, there is a cap to the number you can stack.
1.9 to release of The Dark Below I will be playing DUST regularly (by which I mean capping out) again.

Can't count the number of times I've hacked a CRU cloaked. Had a heavy spawn and waddle off. Then suddenly realise the CRU behind him has turned. Then waddle back and start hacking only to get stabbed.
What did they think was going to happen?

Pretty much, Caldari Sentinel is really forced to keep range but that limits AP abilities significantly. Hopefully we can find some more heavy weapons in Legion.

I enjoyed rep tanking my Cal-Sent, I think it had over just over 100hp/s back with a really low delay. Its not very useful for CQC, but it was awesome at ranged combat with a rail rifle. Like you said, ranged combat is better for cal-sent but lack of heavy long range weapon thats not the forge is lacking.
Depending on cost of respec, I might utilize it to get rid of some of those frames I just don't utilize and reallocate my sp accordingly. Getting rid of AR skills and putting them into the PLC along with removing cal-sent and cal-scout.
PS: I have changed my mind slightly on turning on dust, if dust continues where its going and destiny continues on its track.....

So, i am on the forums too much. I had a really weird dream last night. Have I ever told you guys how much I ******* hate being addressed as "appia?" Because I really hate it.
That's the main reason this is my primary poster.
But additionally a while back, I was posting on this character and Zatara's all like "appia appia appia." So I said, "listen Samuel, call people by the name their using."
Even though I didn't break the forum rules by divulging any information, as he's dropped his name in 2 posts and even now the http://dust514.com/community/cpm/candidates/ still has everyone's name there. Logibro went and changed it to Zatara.
So back to, I spend too much time on here. In my dream I got fed up and just went "FFS, stop calling me 'Appia.' Cass, Macha, even Alder. The characters I'm posting with or goddammit just use my real name Anann/Annie/Ann whatever just stop ******* calling me 'Appia.'"
Then Blowout went and edited my post and removed that part.
Then I woke up and was like I need a break from the forums. . . but it's addictive habitual. I can't stop myself unless I stay away from wireless internet access.

So I see now why it's so quiet down in the external barbershop forums, nobody can find the damn thing! I've been looking for it on my laptop and even with all my google fu I can't seem to locate it. Would it be possible to edit it into the first Barbershop post by Shotty, or is that no longer possible since he's banned?
Either way I think a link to it should be somewhere semi public and accessible, maybe somebody's signature?
