The last three books aren't by Jordan but by Sanderson writing with Jordan's notes - Jordan died before completing it. There's mixed reviews on how Jordan handled it, but it's more than worth the time you'll spend in the reading. Rand al Thor is a compelling character. I warn you, early on his two brosefs ***** a lot, especially the blacksmith. But they man up enough, and it makes for good character development.
And they don't whine as much as Frodo Baggins, so really, it's not so bad to begin with.
GREAT series. Stands up with LotR easily among the greatest fantasy epics of all time.

Mine amounts to "It was worth reading, long (which I like) and had its strongest points near the middle (IMO). Some of which is likely due to Jordan passing away, but some of which is also the effects of diffused focus as more characters in more separate locations are tracked"
Do I consider it wroth having read? Certainly. Would I read it again? I'll probably get around to that at some point (but there are a lot of unread books out there so...)

On that note- you hunters out there.. what's your thoughts on blink jump?
for PVE it's not good As an escape move it takes to long to kick in and as an exploration it just fails Didn't try it for pvp
I used to think the same, and one day I got kind of bored and started playing around with it a lot more. Now I always use it. You can get quite accurate with it, and I am starting to figure out new ways to use it- however, like other animations,I believe it is sometimes bugged.
The thing to keep in mind is that it adds no momentum by itself. if you stand still and double jump you will blink straight up.
Now, try jumping and then blinking when you are moving in the direction you want to blink in. your gun sight acts as a blink sight. You can blink strafe, blink backwards- all from a stand still by providing a bit of momentum and intent with your first jump.
After you get comfortable with that, now play around with jumping, but blinking later in the jump.. say when you are on a downward momentum vs an upwards. Then play with angles.
Then play around with blink as horizontal to the ground as possible by pointing jumping and your sight downward and blinking as the curve of your jump is plateauing . Then when you get that down start to couple it with a slide as you come out of it.
I was really pleased that you could get such amazing control. I've gotten really good with it in PVE. You can even blink through some types of enemy fire (I don't think that is the case in PVP). For example, the huge tank after you beat the first three Lts... you can blink right into the massive OHK projectile it launches into you. So you can snipe that beyotch down and blink forwards through his projectile, and then backwards to your snipe spot. You CAN NOT blink through a hobgoblin sniper tho
Anyway, I had given up on it and now that I got the hang of it, I can't go back to double jumping.. it's too sllooooooowww. I do switch to triple jump for some platforming tasks, however. Hope that helps!

Though are captain black Llast?
Jace the truth is I started specing into gal so I could avoid scans. I never understood the need to have all scouts be tac net invisible. There is just too much sacrifice to get there. I would rather vary up my gameplay with a different suit than try to make my suit fit a role it can't excel at anyway.
Just my philosophy. You don't fit ECM on a jaguar so you can jam....that **** won't work very well. It's the same concept in dust. Now if you don't have the sp....that's understandable.

I would be happy even at 90%, you see a huge improvement. But would prefer more along the lines of 75%. Your spreadsheet doesn't include minmitar assaults, which I'll take forever to catch. If we add in bunny hopping circles strafe, the 75% would make a better impact. Current assumptions are "best case".

I want to start wheel of time. . . Because i liked the mistborn series by Sanderson. . . But ilk probably never get around to it because stuff.
A for blink, it didn't give enough vertical distance for me. Hate it in pve. . . and it took a long tune to get used to for pvp but it's pretty spectacular. And neithor blink nor blink strike teleport you through bullets. Again certain locations i had gotten used to jumping to/on were no longer possible. That'd probably what took so long

Just my philosophy. You don't fit ECM on a jaguar so you can jam....that **** won't work very well. It's the same concept in dust. Now if you don't have the sp....that's understandable. That's exactly the problem. 175k a week doesn't get you very far. It took the MCC to actually get my mk.0 trained. Now I'm at Gallente level 2. Very frustrating when everyone's solution to every problem in every thread is "just get a xk.0 this or a xk.0 that and that thing that's owning you won't be any problem". Right. Because I've got some 2.5 million unallocated skill points just waiting for some kind Dust guru to come and tell me what suit I should skill into to counter the thing that is the clear cut bane of my existing suit's existence!
As it stands, with no damps fitted I'm a shining beacon for any Amarr or Gallente scout, and given that I see undamped scouts with a single ADV PE fit (when I was experimenting with that), I'm guessing most Cal scouts and a few Minmatar scouts who use PEs. Which is to say, every shotgun out there sees me, and I don't see them.
I'm okay with not seeing them, as long as they don't see me. With 3x cDamp or 2x cDamp and a PRO cloak, I can achieve that. I refit my event fit to 2x kincat rather than 2x damp and cloak and immediately found myself trolled stalked through an entire skirmish by the same G-I scout. From Echo to Delta, all through the city and back, out of 13 deaths that match, he was 11. No exaggeration, he had 15 kills and I was 11 of them. I had my head on a swivel, didn't see him moving under cloak a single time. Tacnet allowed him to outflank me consistently, I didn't know he was there until his K-5 shotgun went off. Aside from Echo (his home point) in the beginning of the match, I did not complete a single hack. He had my number, gg to him. And I refused to switch to my more expensive fit with the cloak and damps because the entire point of the exercise was to practice with the suit I'd be taking into the event.
If that's how it's going to go with no damps, I may as well not try for the officer knife event at all - but of course, I have to, so I'll be putting that PRO cloak back on with those cDamps and giving it my best shot.

It's tempting to bump it down something significantly lower, but you have to remember that this problem only really affects knives and melee, and knives are pretty balanced as is. If it were something much lower than 90%, you'd pretty much be completely unable to backpedal away from knives, and that would eliminate a lot of the counterplay to it. Your only options would be to attack and hope you kill them fast enough, or turn tail and run, which isn't likely to get you far considering how fast minmatar suits are.
I would suggest a 90% value, maybe 85% max.

Surely by now you must be sitting on like 15mil SP? Once I hit 20 I kinda lost interest in SP, I got what I wanted and have wasted the rest on lol fits.
Just be glad you have the MCC and triple SP events early, I started at the beginning of uprising. I didn't see a triple SP event or anything until I'd been playing for >6 months.

I can fit 3 complex kincats on a mk.0.
I can also lose 10 mk.0 suits in a match due to being seen by literally every other scout in the match while not being able to see them. I should have said "I don't know how the **** they get away with not fitting damps, but I never get away with it."

At this time of night? Aye.
From what I read on it, they've got it set up so that it spawns FW battles in Dust based on FW activity in Eve. If nobody's spawning complexes or orbiting buttons in space, it doesn't spawn FW battles. So if Eve's FW scene is pretty much settled down for the night, we get no action.
You might be able to get that confirmed or denied and get some clearer details on just how that works?
And for the record, I just broke 21M SP.
