A bunch responded today, I think about 15.

I asked them how long they've been playing, responses varied from 3 weeks at the low end to 6 months at the high end.
Then I asked how often they hit the cap, and there was a distinct pattern. Most said they've hit the cap a few times but don't most weeks. 3 said they never hit the cap and 1 said they hit the cap every week for a month. (This particular one had been playing 2 months)
And then I asked if they think it should be increased. A resounding yes, but not for themselves. (bar the one player that had been hitting the cap) To quote one particular player "I think it should be increased for people who play for hours." Another said "There's no point denying progress"

It's likely too small a sample size, but I found it interesting nonetheless.

Another time we were joking about how stupid racist people can be and that some of their comments are nonsensical. Somebody who was off comms typed a stupid racist comment they heard into squad chat... But squad lead hit deploy and it got posted in Team... lol. So no context, just an incredibly racist comment sitting there in team chat. We'll bang, OK?

I can't say anything about Nyain because in my entire dust career I encountered them once. I'm wrecking face with my pistols. The only logical reason for any limit on SP gain is to "prevent" a circumstance where no-lifers with more time to invest than regular adults with lives/jobs/families/college courses, even, skyrocket into all the best, hardest hitting, most survivable gear while everyone else is left behind in basic fits. This would "prevent" a few players from stomping the majority of players. That's fine, early on. Now we've got this circumstance where a lot of people have the top-level content AND and endless reserve of ISK because A: old PC and B: they run top gear and die so infrequently that their ISK has organically accumulated past the point of caring about the number anymore. That problem is compounded by CCP's failure to give us player trading, so they have very little to actually spend all that ISK on. Now I know, because I see it in game, that there're a decent handful of players buying the Aurum proto with their level 3 skills (much like I did with the Fleshriver knives when I had an extra 20 bucks to throw away on Aurum. It's most evident when I see Neo proto suits with subpar hp on target intel. People are spending real money to get into a proto frame faster in hopes of keeping up, but they don't have the suit's racial bonuses skilled up, so they're getting wrecked just as easily as if they were in STD or ADV suits. Then I see players, far less frequently, who do have the racials skilled up but are using Aur proto frames anyway - I have to assume these are the ones who weren't in PC corps before the PC nerf, who aren't rolling in bottomless piles of ISK? I dunno, whatever. That's a tangent. The point is this: At the point Dust has reached now, none of the reasons for the bonus SP cap exist anymore. Jaceon Pale-eye. You'd either have to increase the Scout speed (which allegedly breaks hit detection) or swap the assault speed with the logi speed.
