For about a 1/4 mile. I started running again so by end of summer I could easily do a mile at that speed. It is certainly easier to train to run further than faster. Sprint training ***** sucks. Im starting to get back into it again for football....i have patellar tendonitis tho so somedays i can't even move after doing like plyometrics which blows donkey **, but my squat weight is going up again to almost 2x my BW, and my vert is doing really well too Also distance training kills your sprint muscles Dont do it If you wanna train endurance do several high speed short sprints in quick succession Good long distance runners are built to run like sprinters. Trust me, good cardio from burst training>all else for everything. I never over do it, though. Too much LD running over time just plain old fucks you up. I like to MTB as well. I'm more of a climber than a downhill nut. Another good thing is that it won't have the reduced damage to explosions, though it will probably just survive a std RE. This is how a minja feels

At this rate we will reach 1000 in no time. @Mollerz if your speeds are correct you would be running roughly a 50 second 400 which is an incredible feat in itself. Now to say you could do that for a mile (if you were serious) is incredibly unrealistic. That would put you at roughly a 3:21 mile. The current world record is 3:43 and the 800m world record is 1:40. I ran cross country and track through high school and college. Figuring times comes pretty quick to me as well as remembering world records. If you enjoy reading books about running you should check out this book. Click it! I dare you...
