I swear it won't result in anything blowing up. I'm excited to go test out this new patch after so long away from World of Tanks, er... I mean Dust. However, the QQ is legendary! As someone who's been scouting for the past year, barring my two month hiatus, what's the scout-to-scout opinion on cloaks and the new suits? I normally run a Gal Scout and fit a SG or RR since it became available, I prowl about the objectives and try to pick off reds swiftly before they can notice I'm there. To this end I take out the SG for smaller areas and the RR for open spaces. As my focus is on going unnoticed should I just stick with my trusty Gal Scout... or doe the new suits offer something substantial in the way of true assassination? Or should I give up and run a Cal Assault Lite?

I think I'm just gonna start running my fit non slayer style. I want around 10-15 kills a match with 1-3 deaths, all while gaining 1500 + WP a match. I think it's possible with a good Speed Stealth Hack suit ALSO: I can run a triage rep tool on my scout Nothing says "F**K YOU!" like a direct Flaylock to the face. I've got 3k likes, I'll double post if I want to dammit!

I think some of these PG costs are a little ridiculous too. Kincats take up waaaay to much PG for what they offer, especially compared to other modules. Looking for the scout hangout?

Okay, storytime on the cloak today. Scene: Gal Reserach Facility, Bravo Letter Time: Beginning of Match I run up to B, and start my speed hack. Halfway through, I see a blip on my radar. I could finish in time, but I had a better plan. I stop hacking, back up into the alcove and cloak. Heavy walks up. Looks around. Looks at me, looks around some more. Starts to hack. ET TU HEAVY!?! STAB STAB STAB. Hack and continue on my way. Story #2 Scene: Manus Peak DOM Time: Halfway through match. I walk up to A and hack. I see blips on passive. Finish and run. Cloak as I turn corner. I peek back into the objective. Squad of three walks up. One starts shooting at a target in the distance, and the other two hack. +50 +50 So, #3 notices me. I see the scrambler, so I just book it and cloak as I run. I turn the corner, and just STOP. Turn and look. The guy goes past the corner, and just starts spraying scrambler EVERYWHERE. I laugh and just walk off. Cloaks are so much fun Nothing says "F**K YOU!" like a direct Flaylock to the face. I've got 3k likes, I'll double post if I want to dammit!

My experience: -First time I cloak, I think, this is awesome! Just before an unfazed red hits me with a blast of shotgun... -I really hated the equipment wheel before 1.8, and now that I have 2 pieces of equipment this may be a prime sticking point for me. I am sure I will get somewhat better with it with some practice, but its going to really **** me off for a bit. -I was still getting scanned, but at least it wasn't near as often. -I did enjoy one moment where I was being shot at, cloaked, and the red who was crouched along the rail seemed to forget about me. Or crapped his pants. Either way, he got a couple knives in the back for his effort. I can't wait to get some time to actually adapt, as these new builds always throw me for a loop, and I look forward to hearing stories from everyone else. Looking for the scout hangout?

If you want to fire as soon as you drop the cloak, then anything high damage without charge I'd say would be excellent. Like the shot gun, cloak, approach target, insta-switch and blap. The cloak drops at the switching part, which is why I recommend a non charge weapon, though I've heard Noki's can attack without breaking cloak, though I don't know how. I've fallen in love with the Ion pistol, though it doesn't appear to be popular. I've seen the others on occasion but nothing really stands out, the Magsec looks difficult to keep on target from what I've seen. So yeah, none of the new weapons seem to stand out on the battlefield. Also, logi's think that I cant pick them up with my passive scans, it's so cute. I didn't have enough time to play around with it because I wanted to get one game in before work, just because I HAD to hear what everyone is talking about. ScR uses much PG If you are maxxed out on Engineering and only a few over in PG - You can level up Optimiation Its SP intensive but can save you about 4-5 PG My plan is to use energizers and range or damp mods to hopefully minimize some of my PG output Combat Rifle is your friend too - Republic Boundless only uses 4 PG "Shine bright like a diamond"
