I've always assumed that Min Scouts are actually supposed to be the ewar Scouts. Think about it: they shouldn't need to rely on Kincats as much as other Scouts because of their innate base speed, and they have a buttload of CPU - perfect for fitting lots of ewar mods. In the same sense, Gal Scouts are more suited for speed than Min Scouts, because they already get ewar bonuses and the Gal Scout already has plenty of PG to fit Kincats with.

I found that the biggest issue was that I still died in roughly the same amount of time because my hitbox was bigger than my Scout's. Gal assault best scout until speed changes. Not tried since.

Protofits may still have the old Assault speed values. It's showing GalAssault +4 Reds at 10.19 m/s. In game, it's showing 10.09 m/s. Still pretty damn fast, even after the speed nerf. Advanced fit I came up ended up being same as my NK sprint fit for starting, personally I think more fun can be had with the NK's then SG and it might even be a bit more effective. Proto fit did not perform well with three red jars, couldn't fit enough shields to survive being tapped. Changed Proto fit to have 2 red and one blue which allowed 3 enhanced shields. Personally found the fit fairly underwhelming. Although it was a sub 90k ISK which is cheap for proto, it didn't perform nearly as effectively as other fits I have. I also found although I could sprint forever, the reduced speed from 3 to 2 reds made me feel like i was going slow in a fitting that need to go faster for it to work. Although you could have some fun and kill some guys in this fit, against any decent players you'd loose a ton of ISK IMO. Summary, shield and speed tanking a min scout was not very effective for me. Although some players can speed tank, at this time I find it personally under performing. I do wonder if a keyboard mouse combo would work better for speed tanking since you could insta sprint after shooting, however with a ds3 it didn't not work very well.
