I didn't get that vibe. He was likely annoyed with us immediately following the announcement but seemed to ease up after yesterday's tweak. I get the impression that AquarHead coded Scotty 2.0.

No? Then it's all good. I was surprised at his responses to some posts in there, they sounded like someone who'd run out of energy.
Plus look at what it is - matchmaking has been something he's been wanting forever, he finally gets some resource to make it happen, they do it stealthily and the figures look good. They're really pleased and then involve us lot in what's going on.
Then all hell breaks loose because some existing bugs are magnified, it looks like the players themselves are being wankers (leaving battle yada yada) and this thing that was supposedly gonna make us all really pleased is just another *****-fest - except this time we're the main culprits.
TL;DR Everyone has a breaking point, and who could've come up with an algorithm that accounted for merc selfishness and pride. I'm thinking it will smooth out as mercs realise they have to adjust their lobby farming techniques, unless something simpler and fixable is going on.
Did you see the mercs joining and leaving in that vid? Can't say I've ever looked for it before, but it was a constant join / leave / join / leave trickle, and amost exclusively blues. |

I did notice, and it is peculiar. It isn't like the other team were a bunch of badasses. Very odd ... I'm not seeing much of that at all in Ambush, btw.

I haven't watched the vid, so forgive me if this is out of context, but what if the losing team becomes prioritized in terms of power as new players arrive?
Back in the team fortress classic days, uneven teams would always give the player advantage to the defending team, so that the matches could last a bit longer, and be a bit harder.
Or it could have nothing to do with that and the blue team simply had the Mu vacuum that needed filling.

Speaking of being on different servers, just blew another half million Isk against Japanese stompers. Came in 4th and made a whopping 145k Isk. My veteran squadmate gave 'em hell the entire match; he came in 12th with 3 kills and 9 deaths; didn't even meet the Minimum SP cap.
My squad size is 2. This is the 3rd time in a row Scotty put us up against 'em. I've got my PS3's resolution set to Super Nintendo quality, texture and effect detail at low, I'm only in 3 chats, I have voice disabled, and I'm playing on a 1GB fiber optic connection. There is literally nothing more I can do to help Dust's engine help itself. Yet the dudes still blair-witch / blue-flare their way through my shotgun blasts, sniper rounds, remotes and grenades. Don't get me wrong ... you can kill 'em. It just takes twice as many shots as everyone else.

Playing on low resolution does not help substantially. I know, I tried. Also have only 1 non-core chat, ans voice always off.
