Still soloing Ambush. Queue times are 3+ minutes, but matches are fuller and fewer players are leaving battle. Yesterday's "all proto mandate" appears to have passed, and I'm seeing more advanced gear on the field than anything else. Also seeing lots of new names. At first I wondered if I'd been dropped into a lower Mu bracket, but Scotty's still putting me up against Carne Con Papas so I assume not. Suspect that regions might have been merged. Dropped resolution to 480P and disabled voice just in case.

Made a few small adjustments to my ambush loadouts (see below), but still mostly running Scout G/1. I pull out the occasional gk.0 if the match is close or ck.0 sniper if the blob digs in on high ground. I've turned a profit in more than a few matches, which is a significant improvement over yesterday. I've been put into several underway matches, but I don't mind as each was less than half over. Far fewer matches today than yesterday have felt like fighting uphill.

Eventually, an mk.0 with an ACR in the shadows took me down. I couldn't finish the fight fast enough, I guess. But really, what a scrub. Dampened my enthusiasm for knifing. Story time! I just got melee'd by a frogging S-I-M-O-N. It looked hilarious as he charged towards me. Realized not the right base. and now I'm about to steal their truck! and they still haven't noticed or killed me?!?! They took the sparkplugs from the truck. I'm going no where. Yep, I try to avoid the frame rate drop by not heading down the rat hole. But sometimes I end up down there for one reason or another and usually regret it. The lag gets on you like a stink and then follows you wherever else on the map you go. "Stay gold, Ponyboy..."

We're lucky they only brought 12 people... OH isn't unbeatable, you just need a good team. They don't have great slay power, their strength is in objective control and rotations. Out of all my battles last night I won ONE battle, yes ONE! Did i mention the one battle i won last night had like 15 vs 9 or something like that? So it wasn't even a good win. In the majority of my battles I was #1 on the leader boards, not sure what I could have done better. Was running with a small squad of 3 guys most the night. Besides from the lopsided and non-full battles (the big maps seem so empty with less than 16 on both sides!) I think the other thing getting to me is that i like teams on both sides have a mixed range of skills. Felt like every guy i fought last night was a strafing ninja. Just gets old after a bit.
