Couldn't get the keys the last 2 days because of the SP bug (I'm not grinding out 100,000 SP at 1k a match).
Log in today to see a bunch of Savant missions. Ok. I'm out. I'll try again tomorrow.
If this keeps up I'm just gonna pawn off this PS3.
Man, I thought things were supposed to be getting better not worse?
Currently the game consists of: Log in. See if I can get any keys. Leave disappointed. Go play something else that feels like less of a chore.
Why is CCP surprised people are calling them out on doing a cash grab when so much of the rewards and supposed "improvements" are behind pay walls?
Also... was thinking about the damage bonus from the warbarge. In a way this is kind of a nerf to side arms, relatively speaking.
We'll bang, OK?

If you are new to them, it is probably best to use them less regularly. Mostly with stationary targets like hackers or snipers or just people unaware.
Std are REALLY hard to get kills with considering all the tanking. That's what I was trying to do. The guy I killed was hacking an objective, so I hit him with a charged swipe. When he began to move away from me, I sidestepped a few feet to the right, charged up again and killed him instantly. I thought he had gotten away after the first swipe, so I was totally surprised to see +50 on my screen.
I'll try using regular swipes like you suggested though. As a heavy, I get targeted by NK scouts all the time, so I can attest to their effectiveness. :) |

However, you may follow with regular strikes simply for time saving on follow ups.

Well no. Because if you do that then the other team stomps and speeds it up. You want to drag it out as long as you can.

Well no. Because if you do that then the other team stomps and speeds it up. You want to drag it out as long as you can. I made a dedicated hacking fit that is bonkers for close matches and when getting stomped.
The real problem becomes when your team stomps too hard.

Double Barreled, Sawed-Off Shotgun A very short range, very noisy Plasma Cannon!
Like Nova Knives, the user has to be within Falloff's inner scan ring to deal full damage (shooter position is more often than not painted to squad TacNet). Shooter has one shot; if he misses, he's pretty much screwed (unless he's a Commando or happens to get lucky with a sidearm). If anyone else is around, he's pretty much screwed; unlike Nova Knives, this weapon is obnoxiously loud. All but guaranteed to draw attention to shooter's position.
Arkena Wyrnspire wrote:Alternatively, just use a plasma cannon. This, I've been using the PLC a ton the last few days for this exact reason. It's basically what the breach shotgun should be. I've been running it with flaylock. If any of you played Black Ops, it reminds me of the Olympia from that game. Can PLC + flaylock be my thing? Because I'd very much like it to be my thing.

Is not possible. The Olympia was fun, but that 1887 ... so beautiful. Same concept, methinks. Slow-firing, hard-hitting, miss-and-you're-f*cked cannon of awesome. Which takes awhile to reload. |

Thank goodness for that. I think it increases by 1% for every upgrade level. Mine is at 2% from level 2. I think I read from Rattati somewhere that the plan is for it not to max out at more than a complex damage mod. Something like that.

Been using the burst for two weeks. I like it. Happened to have plasma rifles to a decent skill level for my galass, so instead of dropping millions of SP into combat rifle for my Minja, I figured the burst AR is a similar mechanic.
But man it doesn't work like that for me!!!! lol Jolly you beast. |

From MW2? I think I prefer the Olympia, but the 1887 was really fun after the nerf. I usually didn't even run it akimbo, I just put steady aim on it and treated it like a slug shotgun.
Man, I miss MW2 so much. It had such solid weapon balance. It's my favorite cod game by far and it would probably be my favorite shooter of all time if they just fixed the most egregious issues. I guess I'm a sucker for good but flawed shooters.

They don't make CoD's like they used to. They've been consistently sh!t since (and including) Black Ops II. Was thinking of the 1887 from MW3; played the hell out of that one. Worked my up to Top 20 or so in shotgun kills. |

Ah MW3, I didn't like that one but the shotguns were so good. I only ever used shotties and the javelin in that one. The KSG was my favorite of MW3, but the 1887 was still high up there.
It's weird, I'm a humongous fan of shotguns in most FPS games but I never really cared for shotgunning in Dust. It might be the wonky hit detection. I should probably just force myself to play it for a while.
