I love the plasma cannon. Got proto levels I love it so much. Usually equip it with a logi. Coz splash damage and OHK lols.
If I had to think of a top three fave weapons off the top of my head, it would go:
1. Nova Knives 2. Plasma Cannon 3. Ion Pistol 3. Shotgun
Yeah so I cheated, it's top four, but I can't not list the Shotty - the SG and knives are the first things I ever donned in this game. On a minmatar scout of all choices. Had no idea those were consistent choices at the time. And hard-mode LOL.
Arkena Wyrnspire wrote:So, I actually use the ion pistol now.
Finally, prof 5 serves me well (?).
I love the Ion Pistol - if you can get that charged shot on target, it's an OHK for a lot of suits. Having had it done to me by someone a few times, I can tell you it's a WTF moment. Not a good option against heavies though.

In between my pager going off, that is.
We used to have some old karaoke-type machine thing (that I hasten to add, never used for Karaoke!) that had four tape readers. You could set it to record on all four tracks on the tape. From this machine I learnt that normal tape recordings are across the top two and bottom two tracks of the tape. If you record across all four, you don't get a 'B' side. Or something.
To be honest I forget the detail - it was a long bloody time ago - we're talking 1980s. What I can say is that this knowledge has come in useful on at least.....never. :-p

Excellent choice. Film has never done the story of Dune justice. I think you'll love it.
Tried to read Dune when I was about 11 years old. Couldn't understand it. Watched the film (the original, there have been some decent sci-fi remakes that also cover some of the later books) at that age and kind of got it.
Later life, tried the book again - awesome. One of my favourite stories worlds. Frank Herbert's imaginings are truly immense. I am of course biased as a sci-fi lover.

Musturd doesn't have internet access at the moment. He is concerned that 25% would be way too much and is happy with the current bonus. He is aware that the NK bonus seems underwhelming by comparison to the others. (He thinks they'll be badass anyway.)
I'm inclined to agree with him about 25% being too high. Especially if the possibility of a backpedal speed reduction is on the table.
I believe in balancing equally. Percentage shows which weapons are not being buffed as much. All the skills currently buff on percentage basis and usually all the same percentages. (fire rate, reload speed, charge time etc) So when one weapon gets a 100% bonus, its a big deal when other weapons only see a 10%. It shows problems with balance IMO.
Anyway, exactly how OP would 25% be exactly? Because I don't see many people running them for more than 15 or 20 kills at a time. Where as I see balacs/thales etc go many many hundreds of kills without losing one. There is no "safe" way to knife.
An extra 10% movement speed isn't really that useful. Do you reallllly notice a single kincat at 12%?
Remember back to your maths on backpedal speed. Did 10% decrease improve the situation? I don't remember, but don't think it did. Do you want officer knives to be meh a little extra damage.......or "hell ya this is as good as the officer flaylock or dual plasma cannon"

Uplink spam was fixed to the tune of not having a single uplink to spawn on for 75% of the match.
I don't know why I even bother trying to be optimistic with this game sometimes when it just causes frustration when I actually try to play.

Anyone have to do the rubber band fix for their ds3 analog stick? I was starting to think aim assist did not like me because it was like when i got near the enemy my aim would move left. I could be running straight and without touching the stick it would randomly just start moving left.
Any way looked it up on google and found using a small rubber band you can fix it. So far so good I think. Hard to tell since I missed a lot anyway, lol

I suspect it'll be noticeable, we can't know until we've tried them. I absolutely notice a difference in sprint speed between 0 and 1 KinCats, 1 and 2 KinCats, and even 2 and 3 KinCats. Then again, 10% of a small number is a small number. Tough call. But I'll bet if it isn't noticeable, we can convince Rattati to increase it.

I don't think it is possible to buff base movement without affecting the metrics derived from base movement (strafe, sprint, backpedal speeds). There's also the chance that backpedal speed will be reduced; buffed forward movement combined with nerfed backward movement would probably be nasty. |

Sometimes the things I read on the forums get me really excited to play, then it takes a game or two to remind me while I don't.
Its a shame because even through some of the less balanced times I could find some fun, but I honestly have had 1 or 2 good games since Mu was put in place.
I just hope that some day it becomes fun again.
